These comments are centered around the Portland Fair held the first weekend of each October. For a small fair it holds a decent assortment of attractions. Enough rides to satisfy younger kids (12 and under) but lacks enough to keep the attention of older kids. Food has been lacking in the past but was very good this year with food trucks from the surrounding area. Fair assortment of vendors that had intriguing wares and goods. 4-H archery station is great but the wait is painful. There's private parking on properties within easy walking distance for $5.
