By far the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. Moved into a new home and had who I though was a Dish technician put a splitter in my attic to have Dish service in a spare room. The tech accidentally stepped through the ceiling and repeatedly apologized for the damage. Southern Star did take responsibility for the damage. According to Scott Phillips (head of damages) by looking at pictures (that one of their technicians sent to him) a comparable dollar figure to repair it would be $500. If I chose not to accept their figure, I needed to submit two estimates of which I did. I am glad I did get estimates as the estimates were double and triple his figure. Once they were submitted I had to fight tooth and nail to obtain reimbursement so that I could schedule a contractor to repair THEIR damage. If I wasn't the "squeaky wheel", my claim would still not be processed. Apparently "the new girl" misfiled my claim and it is NOT Scott Phillips job to follow up on claims it is the Accounting Departments job. I in turn tried to file a complaint on Scott Phillips and was told by the Director of Finance and Administration that she would not be writing him up because "he is the most professional employee she has". I contacted the Corporate Office of Dish to let them know that this company is out there representing them and I felt it should be brought to their attention.    Read moreDo not use Southern Star for any kind of service or repair, they were sent out by Samsung to do a recall on our washing machine and in the process leaned or stepped on our dryer putting a huge dent in the top. They sent out someone to look at the damage and my wife FaceTimed me to talk to him since I was at work, he would not let me talk during the entire conversation and just kept saying how he didn’t think they caused it. I know the dent was not there the night before because my wife used a shopvac to drain the remaining water from the washing machine.
The representative was extremely one sided and kept shutting me down when I would try to explain to him how I could see them causing the damage. I do auto body work for a living so, I fix dents all day, I could easily present 100 scenarios to him on how the dent was caused but he didn’t care to hear it.
This company is a cable dish installation company that Samsung contracts for warranty and recall repairs. If this company is sent to fix or do a recall on your washer refuse service from them and get a certified Samsung appliance technician. Dish Network rescheduled me for today. The technician sent me a text this morning to confirm. Carol, stated supervisor called me stating “he is not coming today” with a very rude attitude. She rescheduled me for a couple days out and when I told her I was reporting her to her supervisor for being rude and to Dish Network for the horrible customer service, she denied being rude, asked me if I wanted her to transfer me to Dish Network and when I declined stating I have their number she hung up on me.
