I would not recommend booking tee times through San Diego Golf Reservations, unless you are strapped for time and want to be up-charged additional booking fees (on top of the fees charged by your desired course). For example, if like me you are interested in playing Torrey Pines and Google “Torrey Pines Golf Course”, the first website that will pop up is San Diego Golf Reservations representing to be Torrey Pines. But, they are NOT Torrey Pines and are NOT affiliated with them. They are an organization that charges people a fee (additional ~$45 for Torrey Pines) to book you a tee time. They will simply go on Torrey Pines’s website to do the work for you. They do this for other courses as well. What’s worse is an employee of this organization (whom I will leave unmanned) claimed that if I tried to call Torrey Pines “they would not pick up the phone” which is false because they have a whole booking system (online and by phone). Don’t trust...
Read moreMy youngest daughter gave me a gift certificate from San Diego Golf Reservations for Christmas two years ago, and I finally used it to play at Aviara Golf Club. The reservation process was simple and fast. I toyed with the idea of playing Torrey Pines South, but I am a resident golf card holder and play at Torrey at least 10 times a year, so I wanted something special. Everyone I spoke with told me that Aviara is a special place and that I would love it. Well, everyone was right! The course is beyond beautiful, with awesome contours that really challenged me. However, it was the staff that really made this round special. Every single person that we interacted with, from Chandler in the Pro Shop, to Joe the Starter, to Loren the cart girl and Avery the bartender made us feel so welcome there. I can't...
Read moreI was very disappointed in this service. First, a week after making the tee times and signing a contract, I was told the greens at the south course were being aerated a few days before my tee times. I should have been told this when I was making the tee times. Second, and most importantly I made the tee times in February and signed a contract for them which left me almost no room for making any alterations. Then the day before leaving on this golf trip in April, I was informed that a mistake was made and the tee times that I thought I had were really not available. Ultimately, they were able to arrange tee times, but this is still no way to run a business. I had a contract for tee times, but was ultimately told that the contract...
