Karns Market and Deli — Local services in Powell

This review concerns the U-Haul rental process at this store. Despite reserving a U-Haul online and selecting Karns Market as the pickup location, upon arrival, the cashier was unable to fulfill the order. They called someone who was audibly upset at being disturbed, and I was informed to pick up my truck elsewhere. Despite confirming with U-Haul's service number that the truck was indeed at Karns Market, I was told it would cost extra to transfer the rental. After some back-and-forth, the cashier finally got the keys but insisted on taking photos of my credit cards using a personal mobile device, a practice I questioned and later confirmed was unnecessary. Eventually, U-Haul customer support resolved the situation, waiving fees and transferring my order while offering a discount. As I happened by, it reminded me of the neighborhood convenience store with which I grew up. I decided to stop in and take a look around. The selection and pricing were comparable to, if not slightly lower than, any of the corporate, gas station/convenience store/ fast food locations in the Knoxville Area. To be clear, however they do not sell gas. The quite pleasant and most helpful clerk related that the site had been a filling station at one time, but removed the pumps and tanks many years ago. It takes me an extra 4 minutes on an average 35 minute commute to swing by Al's Market. The father who owns this amazing man .. The son has always be so nice and respectful.. But they need get rid of the bad egg The white older male working Friday night charged me extra money I counted change and paid the other half with a debit. He ended up charging my debit for everything .. When I gave him the change too.. He also acts like he runs the whole place .. When he does not he is just employed there. I have see him disagree and argue with customers.. for instance, He was very rude to a lady with 3 kids tonight.. Remind u this is the same man who took my 6 bucks in change… He needs to be let go .. He is bad for business never met...
