left my house around 5 am. Took me about an hour to driver up the rough Road to the Trail Head. I think i need new shocks because even small cars where passing me. I apologize for anyone behind me on the way up. I was going as fast as i could.
I came up to the first trail head, a half mile from the campgrounds, and parked on the side of the road. I noticed about 5 vehicles already there. Some people sleeping.
I took off on the trail around 7:15 am. It was quiet and peaceful with a few faint conversational voices way behind me and Mowich Lake to the right. The usual rocks and roots and wood steps. After hiking majority of the trail. It breaks open with Eunice Lake to the right and fields of grass and trees to the left. I passed this lake and continued to the upward push to the lookout and views. Arriving to the lookout I saw some people who had scored it for a sleeping spot and where still snoozing.
It was super windy but the sun was out and what few clouds there were they moved away pretty quick. Quite the spectacular view!
Being later in the morning as i made my way back down, there where many people on their way up. this time I took time to explore the more expansive area around Eunice lake. There where many trails around it. granted shorter. What I enjoyed about it was it is a nice secluded area with a lot of birds and their beautiful songs.
I arrived back at the start earlier than i expected. So i walked over to the campgrounds. Used the usual style toilet and chose to hike the Spray Park Trail. You can check out my review of that...

There were still a lot parking space available on the side of the road. It was quite chilly but the air was refreshingly clean and clear! The hike itself to the peak was reasonable (only 2.8 miles one way for such a great view with not too much inclination!) and very enjoyable with an optional stop at the lake! We were lucky to catch some sights of the Mount Rainier in the clouds just before clouds and mist covered most of it so I'd recommend going on a...

But the hike is beautiful, good work out & doesn't take too long to complete if you are in good shape. Bugs by the lake are horrible,...
