Arizona Downs — Local services in Prescott Valley

This lovely, spacious facility has nowhere to go but up! Huge potential ... I see weddings and other similar events being held here. It has several large meeting spaces, and can probably cater to groups such as this in the future. My husband and I had the Sunday Brunch today - off the menu - food good, and checked out the buffet. Could be presented a little more attractively, for the prices! Everything very clean, staff helpful and courteous. Will be back in the future, for sure. So blessed to have a facility like this in our community. Good Luck for the future. There is a lot of hard work ahead! I think there is a huge need for "getting the word" out about the Arizona Downs facility to the Quad-City area - maybe in the future, ads in the Courier using the Downs logo (which is very attractive and eye-catching ... in color), radio ads on several local channels, and (if funds allow), a TV-ad? Went on Father's Day and it was busy. My first experience at a horse race. Very exciting. The only drawback was they are not very organized yet about the different types of seating you can purchase. We wanted a box seat for the "Dad" and that part was a little frustrating as there was a slow moving line in a small room just off the program counter that had a small sign about box seats but directed us to this small room where the line did not seem to move. They definitely need to have more information signage. Also the one restaurant was reservation only and they were completely booked that day. Concession stands on first and second floors. The first floor offerings were the best options. The place is clean and the staff seemed friendly. Will go again but may call ahead for meal...

I helped host an event there (did NOT go for horse races so I can't rate based on that) and everything went very smoothly! They let us come the day before & day of the event to decorate, put signs up downstairs & outside & even helped us with clean up! Chuck was amazingly helpful throughout the whole experience whenever we needed anything or had any questions. Only gave it a 4 because we used tokens for drinks & whether it was a mixed drink, cup of wine or a soda, it was $8 each which I thought was a little rough, & at least the piece of chicken I ate (& a couple others) were a little over cooked, but everything else was great! Karen at the bar was very kind as well as many other staff members but I didn't get all of their names. Great...
