Abe's General Store — Local services in President Township

I have been past here thousands of times and have never stopped; last time I was in this building was in the 90's, and it was a restaurant. Found myself needing some breakfast sausage; the guy who owns/runs it is very friendly. Lot of good meats/deli meats and other convenience items. they also sell propane and sometimes have firewood. they do now take credit cards. he said he's been open/closed as he's had 6 eye surgeries this year already. My wife and I went into Abe’s because I hadn’t been in there since it was previously a restaurant. I have to say the employees were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food smelled really good, but we already had prior plans for lunch, so we just left there with an Abe’s shirt and a few other items. Drove 170 miles round trip for husband to visit the store. The hype on website had him very excited to visit when we came for National Senior Games.
