Went while they were hosting the Mille lacs county fair and demo derby. Not real pleased with how they really make you dig into your wallet. Paid 5$ just to enter the fairgrounds to walk around to get to the derby. Then had to pay again to watch the Demolition derby. Once in the derby there was no seething in stands so had to stand in the fairway between fence and stands. Then was harassed by a volunteer to find seats in the stand when there wasn’t any. If you can only accommodate so many take a capacity count and stop selling tickets when reached. Then after the short show for a demo derby went and rode rides with my kids. I have 2 younger kids. 3 & younger and they need assistance riding rides. We’ll the carnival company insisted on charging me also so that I could assist my child on the carousel and a few other rides because I was person. Carnival company was called Stripe Shows and they have well maintained rides but no regards for customers when understanding adults accompanying there child on a ride is not them riding it for...
Read moreI have been living for the past two years in Princeton which is an awesome town. Having the Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds within walking distance is wonderful.
I went last year for the first time and was extremely impressed by all it had to offer. All the arts and crafts, livestock exhibits, main stage music and various entertainment not to mention the numerous food vendors is great.
But, my one joy are the horse shows at the outdoor arena. Being from Kentucky, horses are in my blood. All horse shows last year, I was at the rail, grinning constantly. The riders were amazing. Also, the Ride and Shoot is my favorite.

Hay rides you could pay for and a little bounce house, and a pumkin launcher. It was 10$ to get in it was very cold and some of the stands were selling various items from their business.
