Dutch Selection — Local services in Providence Township

We bought a dining room table, chairs and buffet for our son from Dutch Selections. Working with John was an easy, pleasant experience, but the service at delivery went well beyond what anyone else would do. There was a delay with getting the furniture due to pandemic shutdowns, but John was very accurate in predicting when we'd get it. John delivered the furniture to our son near Winchester, VA and at a very fair price.

The exceptional service starts when the furniture arrived. The table was very large (48" wide and 84" long) and would not fit up the steps to the dining room. No problem for John (yes, he was part of delivering the table). The patio door on the second floor was OK for getting the table in the house. One problem - no deck or steps. Not a problem for John. They drove to Lowe's and bought a ladder. Getting the furniture in was tough because of its size. However, they did a great job of getting it in.

When they went to assemble the table they found that the builder sent the wrong bolts. Again, no problem. Another trip to Lowe's and the right bolts were found. The table was assembled with no problems.

I cannot imagine another store going to this effort to do the job right and to create a very happy customer. We'll be going back for more furniture from...

We have purchased several pieces and the quality is excellent! They deliver to VA for a flat fee so very reasonable. I took an interior designer friend with me on the last trip for a dining room table, chairs, two sets of bar stools, she was amazed at the flexibility in combining features of a particular chair with a table and basically any finish you want. John is so low key, and everything we asked for was custom and totally doable at the same price. We find the prices to be exceptional for the quality of the furniture. Highly recommend this place. Seriously anything you want, they can make...they did this low chest that I have under a window, in my home office, for my dog to lay on and watch the world go by, it contains 3 file drawers in it. My wife an I just drove to John's store yesterday from Vienna Virginia. This was a two and a half hour drive for us, but well worth the trip. As the others have indicated, he does not try to push a sale and is there simply to enable you to make your decision based upon your needs. We purchased several items, a few credenzas, a table and some chairs. All items will be handmade to our specifications. From my observations of the products in his store, everything was of sound quality and he has no problem getting you exactly what you want. The time from ordering to delivery is about ten weeks.
