I contacted them after the article in the paper too. I just wanted to know what happened. I'm an avid animal lover. I received a long-winded response about how the cages weren't cleaned because they had been given no notice and were in the process of cleaning, etc., etc....

However, when I simply stated "I'm not here to judge, just here to help; Can I volunteer, donate, etc.?".......I received absolutely NO RESPONSE. The conversation simply ended. That was extremely weird.

It is very telling when you hear a detailed explanation from a human, that expresses to no end, that NOTHING wrong was done in the care of the cats......but when questioned about the future of the cats or what to do to turn their facility on a positive track - NOTHING. Crickets. No response.

I'm sure they had the same "deer in headlights" look as when the sheriffs took their animals away.

So very telling indeed.

Hope you guys get your acts together. Concentrate on the cats instead of lawyering up. I care about the cats, not how you did "nothing wrong."

Talk about the real deal!!! This place is, Sam and Jen are the best. They will go to unreal length to help cats and not just cats but dogs as well if they can but cats always. The have many for what will make great Christmas gifts for the kids and friends. Let's not forget to make a donation during this holiday season and it can be a tax deduction for 2018 as well. The young girl with tattoos wasn't very pleasant when I went in looking for help after finding a litter of abandoned kittens. I think it's a great thing these folks are doing for the community I just think she could have been nicer, I left disappointed without help and went to awr cat rescue and found the assistance I needed with a much much more pleasant excperience. I work for a very well known kennel in pueblo west and will be suggesting awr to our fur baby parents instead of steel...
