Paige's Pit Stop — Local services in Purcellville

We stopped by the first time last week. I immediately liked the friendly non pretentious atmosphere. We purchased chicken, steak duck eggs , and apple butter. I must say the steaks were outstanding. They had a nice natural savory flavor. Not to fatty very thick and nice texture . I didn’t even need steak sauce. They were perfect with salt and pepper alone. The chicken was the best I had in years. We made it in a black skillet with just butter, salt and pepper and the taste was nice and natural. The texture was solid and not rubbery like old out of date store chicken. Our ducks eggs had brilliant orange yolks and tasted very rich. I used them to make bread and it came out fantastic. The apple butter was also natural tasting. Not to sweet or over sugary. It tasted like apples. Great for breakfast. I am going to buy some lamb and pork next time. Paige was out, so Karen helped us find what we needed. We had our dog along with us, and she welcomed her in without a second question. Note that we do not always take the dog shopping, so we were worried that we might be turned away. All good!

Stopped in one day after running on W&OD. I don't carry my purse with me on ruuning outings, just a gift card I keep in the vehicle for emergencies. I stopped in Paige's pit stop to see what they carried. There is a lot of great stuff but had my eye on some cinnamon roasted pecans. When I tried to pay with my gift card it turns out it was expired. I was told I could just bring payment by some other time and to go ahead and take the nuts.
