Dollar General — Local services in Putney

I have patrionized this store thats5 miles from me and there is never stock on the shelves and carriages of stock blocking the isles and the employees are nice but always seem exhausted makes me wonder what kind of chain service you guys have because none others are that way. Please i believe they are doing their best down there but moral sucks and its not inviting for return visits so maybe you guys can help them folks get stock up and increase their moral with incentitives to bolster their optimism. Again i believe its not the hired help maybe its management or corporate tieing their hands but im a 48 business man who has seen this before and as usual the customers suffer first then the lower help and then management then overhead maybe some of the overhead can come down and help put some stock out and clean up the isles and give them employees a time to shine and enjoy their job. Its a good start for the younger employeemenr field to see care from higher levels and not always rules and guildelines that obviously are not being met. Oh yes the parking lot has grass growing against the walkway since May and the lot is always a mess and it looks like a jungle beside and behind the store. Landscaping is in dire need and unacceptable i suggest you hire an individual to do just that store twice or even three times a week to keep acceptable curb appeal instead of totally relying on locarion. People will go 6 miles down the road....

Strange. This dollar general used to be one of the very best. Then the dude fired ALL the original, sweet staff and hired nothing but colored people. I'm not being racist, and usually I would not address it like this, but I am officially fed up! They don't even want to work! They constantly stay on their phones, they don't double bag the heavy objects, they don't ask how you're doing, they ignore you unless you're the same color as they are, and its just trashy now. Very disappointed! Manager dude, you need to go back to the original staff, before EVERYONE stops shopping here. Just a shame. --- However! The worker Tristan, is what caused me to raise the rating. He's very kind, a hard worker, double bags the heavy things, and is just overall so kind to everyone. The rest of the workers need...

One star is way too much of a review for this disrespectful spiteful manager who was working the register a little while ago. I heard her completely disrespect two autistic kids who were trying to spend their hard pennies on some cheap candy. This makes me furious and I will never ever return. May God have peace on this woman's soul. Evelyn if you read this you must've been terrible to your children the way you treated those sweet babies.
