Was three hours from home in Puxico when my brakes started making a terrible noise. 10 minutes before they closed, and knowing (and hating) that I’d be “that guy”… I decided to call the shop to see if they could see me in my emergency. They could have easily turned me away, but had me drive over to them to take a look anyways. Thankfully, it turned out that something (a rock?) had wedged between my pad and rotor and was making the noise, but had they not had the care and empathy to take a look for me, I probably would have waited in Puxico until the next day when the auto shops opened back up.
