We really like this "oasis in the desert" rv park. (As several reviews have called it here.) It's very true, with the grass & small trees, etc. (I don't walk around much, so I haven't seen the vegetables.) Kelli, the owner, is an amazing person. She's been helpful when I ask questions (on numerous occasions), which is very nice to be able to contact a landlord for needed information about the area or just general info. This rv park has free WIFI and a very nice laundry room. (We've only used it a couple of times since our stay here, but it's readily available.) I've asked numerously, and she's always said it was accessible to us. We moved to Pyote for work, due someone who lived here before mentioned this rv park to us. We're so thrilled they did! This is a very small "drive thru" town (two gas stations by the Interstate), but living at this particular rv park has made it very nice living here. We're now staying here longer and not working in the area. More or less, retired. Pyote RV Park is quiet and off the highway. You may hear the distant sound of trains, but the sound is far enough away not to be a hindrance. Truly! And we've lived in rv parks where that was not the case. So speaking from experience. The owner does allow pets. (I'm unsure why one of the reviews said anything to the contrary, as we own a dog, and she's accepted him just fine.) We just need to keep cleaned up after him. But what rv park doesn't ask you to? We (my husband & I) recommend this place highly. Especially as all the other rv parks in the area do not compare. May get some dust, but hey, it's south Texas! Where do you not...
Read moreThis place was a Godsend! My husband and I took our two small boys on a RV road trip over Thanksgiving break and had planned out most of our stops, except for the last night. We searched all over the towns in west Texas to find a place we could stop before dark. To our dismay, all of the RV spots were bland, industrial, dirty and filled with extended stay workers. We didn't feel comfortable stopping with our small children so we pushed on until we came across this GEM!!! It's literally an oasis in the middle of the oil fields. The owners saved us from having to stay somewhere we didn't feel safe. They were so FRIENDLY and HOSPITABLE! They even helped us out with a converter to plug into the electric hookup. The landscape around the park was beautiful, exotic plants and herb garden, and everything was clean and well kept. It was quiet and serene. In the morning, the owners brought us fresh farm eggs and made my boys' day. Thank you for everything! Please stop here if you're in the area, it will not disappoint. I wish I had taken...
Read moreSweet lady at 1st but towards the end of our stay she was rude and argues with the tenants that stay there and isn’t afraid to yell in someone’s face as well . She does have washer and dryer but be careful bc if you aren’t on her good side she won’t let you use her laundry room . She took away the privilege of washing and drying clothes because of certain tenants not complaining with rules she did not give a warning that she was going to not let anyone but her friends that rent use the laundry machine ( older people like her ) . The closest laundromat is 30 min so if you need your clothes washes might want to go to a rv park with an owner that’s not take your laundry away . She hates dogs if you own one but brings her...
