I have been taking my son here for the last 3 years and he still loves it! The illumination train is my favorite it's so fun! There are lots of different light displays with great music and it's a decently long (but not too long) ride too. The lady working at the train is awesome, she has so much energy and she even got my son and a few other kids out dancing with her while waiting in line for the next train. The food is kind of expensive, I paid $8 for a small cup of Mac n cheese and my son was still hungry after so ended up spending another $12 I think for funnel cake. At least it was good food. If you want to see Santa I suggest getting there right when they open. Last year we got there before they opened and the line was still really long but this year we got there 15 minutes after opening and the wait was already 1 hour long which is way too long for a 5 year old boy to stand in one place doing nothing and it stayed that way the rest of the night so the last 2 years we missed out on seeing Santa. I think that's the one thing they could improve on especially considering that's probably a big part of the reason people go. Feeding the reindeer is another favorite but I suggest going to do that sooner than later as they seem to get full or less interested in taking food from the kids later in the evening. Bathrooms are decent and seem to be kept up with pretty well. If you are looking for a place to have some Holiday fun Christmas at Schnepf Farms should be...
Read moreOur family absolutely LOVES Christmas at Schnepf's! So magical! I am disappointed to see such harsh ratings based on the farm allowing individuals to have personal agency over if masking feels safe/appropriate to them. Maybe marking off a star, but when one appreciates everything else about the experience this doesn't seem like a fair reason to tank the ratings of a business, in my opinion. Especially when you're the one deciding to go out in public during "a pandemic." I get informing others what to expect in case they choose not to come for their own safety purposes, but giving 1 start seems a bit much. As an FYI, you can also call places in advance to see what their masking policy is. This is a very large outdoor space, so requiring masks would seem overkill to me since you can distance the vast majority of the time if you'd like. The science more recently is now showing that being in a closed room for over 15 mintues with someone is where the "real concern" is at, so I am not convinced their measures are anything that warrant a 1 start rating. I say thank you as a mom of a child who is asthmatic & cannot mask safely for any more than short periods of time. The invitation is let's try to focus on what is best for ourselves, and live life accordingly if possible. If being among a large group of people feels unsafe for you let's not blame the business for allowing self agency in deciding what best for you and...
Read moreWeâve been to Christmas at Schnepf Farms for the last few years with good experiences, however this year Iâm deducting a couple of stars for the âfood fiascoâ. Last year there were more food options offered by the farm, however theyâve removed some of these options in favor of having people go to the onsite food truck vendors. We ordered burritos and pizzas last year from the farm stands and it was a relatively quick process. This year, we had to wait in line to place an order for the food trucks and then wait an excessive amount of time for food to be prepared by understaffed vendors. We were told it would be 20 minutes for a sandwich, it ended up being 45+ minutes instead. We ended up spending over an hour total getting food, and this was time we couldâve spent on other activities. Hopefully Schnepf Farms adds more food options...
