We stopped here on our way to the Red Woods, and we're thoroughly impressed by the owner's hospitality. She offered us both cold, homemade tea within moments of our arrival. She helped us find cards. When she learned where we were going, she made recommendations on places to visit along the way. Our first stop was right up the road in Greenville where we ate a savory burrito at Jose's Tacos and enjoyed the bright, festive atmosphere. After that, we drove to Lassen Volcanic National Park. We didn't have time to hike to the peak, as she'd recommended but we drank in the breathtaking views as we drove up to the Lassen Peak Trailhead. We enjoyed seeing and learning about the geothermal activity and history of the volcano as well! This is a stop we wouldn't have made without this personal recommendation. Even my boyfriend likes going here to look around. They greet you with warm smiles and hot coffee and English wassail.
