I'm not going to get into a whole lot of detail, I just want to voice my overall opinion of County Market in Hannibal, MO and the total lack of response from the corporate office in Quincy, IL. I have had several visits to the store for groceries. On every occasion they have lacked to have the sale items per their advertisements. It would not be a big deal if we live closer and we could return when they had restocked. We are seniors on a limited budget with limited resources. However we have had several instances where the there system won't accept our cards & we have specifically identified the issue with their equipment. The problem could have been resolved but simply having them input the numbers manually into their computer, but according to the store that's not permitted. Without any excitement or elevation in voice or rhetoric when requesting to have a manager input the information there was immediate rude behavior. There is much more detail to the events, but to keep it short I contacted the store electronically due to their customer service did not answer the phone on several attempts to file a complaint. The companies response absolutely nothing. I now fully understand the problem with the store is they simply don't care about their customers or their experiences. Therefore we will no longer choose to shop there and thus advocate to family members, friends and our community to as well boycott this entity and ask those who read this...
Read moreDuring these trying times, it's easy to set the bar too high. We're a country spoiled with conveniences. We're a small town (population 430) and have always (for the most part) had a bounty of choices. But, as of late, even the simplest of orders are not being shipped for weeks at a time, if at all (we are not addressing bathroom tissue). I somehow find it doubtful there's a demand for pickled herring in wine sauce, but waited over three weeks for that one guilty pleasure. An ad was placed in the sale flier for other items (no rain check available) that were not delivered, as well. There are many families on such a tight budget and to them are a necessity (hot-dogs for dinner? Isn't that a quick lunch?), but, I digress. The store managers and employees are taking a beating from frustrated consumers. If someone could offer a simple explanation why a basic food order, such as hot-dogs, aren't available for delivery, it may be able to help employees and management pass the information on to the customer to appease them , and hopefully make their job working with the public a pleasure rather than a facing an 8-hour shift of headaches. Respectfully yours, Debbie Ryan. Perrysville, Indiana (on behalf of County Market Grocery store,...
Read moreDeli sucks. At 4:o every evening the hot case is all dried up and nasty. You should be pulling everything at 330 and starting FRESH For supper customers. Lewistown is full of older people who would love to get a variety of suppers each night. Your meatloaf looks like baked spam. Your salads are always sloppy and ran over. These should be flipped at least 3 times per day. You pinwheel sandwiches are just cream cheese try Ranch DIP gives a get flavor. You have to watch all your dates. Put the bought chicken salad in a bowl. That stuff you make with your left over dried out rotisserie is bad. I ran a deli for 40 years and never did it look like this. You need new management that trains well. New recipes and a new commitment to serve your customers with the best product and service available.
