Dollar General — Local services in Raccoon Township

I recently moved in to the area about 4 months ago. Never been a fan of the dollar stores, but as it is rather rural here, the options are limited. So I gave it a chance. Awesome decision. Clean store. Decent selection. Frozen products. They don’t have everything I want, but the reason I come back here instead of driving to target or giant eagle is because the employees are awesome. There was one lady there who I wasn’t fond of, but they have since gotten rid of her. I have gotten to know Jen the manager, and she is a very nice, caring person. I live out near the store 928. The place always has items all over the floor. Nothing is in it's right places. The manager there is rude and doesn't do anything to clean up the store. There is inventory piled sky high in the back room and sitting every where else. My sister and I were there a few weeks ago and there was a Young lady and her children, the one register wasn't working and the manager was rude and had an attitude. The manager there has a blue color to her hair, she is short also. I have had friends work there and told me not to work there because she didn't care about the store or her employees. Was chased out of the store by an employee for using the self checkout. Only used the self checkout because there was no cashier up front. It’s embarrassing having a dollar general store employee yelling hey at you as you are walking out of the store.

I would say if you can spare the manpower to chase people into the parking lot you can staff the register and get rid of self checkouts.
