I had a bad experience with my maintenance of my Dishwasher and Stove. My Dishwasher and Stove was replaced today. However, Iāve been without a working Dishwasher for 6 weeks and my oven was not working for 19 days. I reported my Dishwasher issue 6 weeks ago and reported my oven was not working 19 days ago. No one responded to my initial maintenance issue. I reported initial issues on the non emergency maintenance line. After a week in a half of no one responding to my Dishwasher issue of it not working. After a week in a half, my Dishwasher started leaking water. Then, I left a message on the Maintenance Emergency line reporting the water issue and then maintenance came within a half hour and checked the Dishwasher. After it was checked out, I was advised by Maintenance that they will need to order a new Dishwasher and it will take about 2 weeks to arrive. As for my Stove, I left a message on Sunday, Feb 27, 2022 on the Maintenance Non Emergency line advising my Oven is not working. No one responded. On Friday, Mar 11, I left a message at the Rental Office advising no one has fixed my Oven. No response from the Rental Office. On Monday, I went to the Rental Office advising no one has fixed my Oven. The Rental Office advised someone will go by that same day and look at my Oven. I also asked about my Dishwasher as itās still working. The funny thing, the New Office Manager advised me that she just submitted an order for a new Dishwasher and it was likely mine. Not to my knowledge, no one came by that day and checked my Stove. Again, I called the Rental Office on Friday, March 11 and spoke to them advising my Oven is still not working. They got back to me within minutes after we spoke and advised they are waiting on some parts for my Oven. On the following Monday, Maintenance came and tried to fix my Oven to no prevail and checked the Dishwasher. The Dishwasher works when it wants to work plus does not dry the dishes. From this Maintenance visit, I was advised they would have to order a New Dishwasher and Stove and they will arrive later that same week or early the next week. Both Dishwasher and Stove finally arrived and were install on Friday, March 18. There needs to be better communication from Maintenance and the Rental Office with the Tenant when a Maintenance Non Emergency has been reported. At least Maintenance should come and check out the issue within a reasonable amount of time. The they will then know at least if itās going to be a big issue of replacement, if a part has to be ordered and advise the Tenant when they will be able to work on the issue. It was very frustrating being without a working Dishwasher for 6 weeks especially when my apartment is set up with one sink in the kitchen and no Communication of progress. My Stove issue was bad as well but I adjusted as I could cook on top of my gas Stove. I just couldnāt bake anything especially my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies. Overall, my experience of having my appliances fixed in a timely matter and bad Communication...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a great experience living at The Remington Place for over two yearsāuntil the final weeks, which were unfortunately ruined by the new property manager, Philip. Prior to his arrival, I had absolutely no issues; Beltoria, the previous manager, was always responsive, professional, and supportive.
Philip, on the other hand, made the move-out process unnecessarily stressful. Despite already submitting my release form to Beltoria, he claimed it was missing and demanded it again. He was falsely polite over the phone, yet completely unhelpful and dismissive. Most upsetting, he threatened to trash my CORT rental furniture, even though CORT had been scheduled to collect it the day after my lease ended.
This unprofessional behavior, along with the fact that neither Philip nor the regional manager ever replied to my follow-up emails, has seriously damaged my view of this property. What had been a smooth and pleasant rental experience for years was soured by mismanagement at the very end.
I would have recommended this place without hesitation beforeānow, I would advise prospective tenants to proceed with caution.
Email from Philip, the property manager: **Good Morning Anna,
Thank you for letting me know that you have vacated the home. Unfortunately, having not signed a release form and dropped off the keys in the office, you still have ownership of the home. If home is far from the property, I'll have to work out a means to send you the form so, you can release your interest in the apartment. If it is close please stop by to physically drop the keys off and complete the form. As we are now, we can't be held responsible for lost or damage items in the unit as you still hold interest over the home till the 7th of May, having relinquished your keys not to management.
To CORT picking up your furniture, if they can do so by the 7th that would be advantageous as we will begin trashing out and turning the unit on that day. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out.
Regards,
Philip The...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I have rented at many complexes and this one has by far been the worst. We had to break our lease after 5 months due to the conditions being unlivable. Before moving in, we had problems getting the office to answer and had sent over incorrect lease information. Upon move in, the apartment was filthy and not fully renovated as we were originally promised it would be. The carpets were dirty, there was trash on our balcony, and it appeared that nothing had even been wiped down.
Within these few months, the apartment flooded, the breaker box caught fire, there was black mold throughout the entire apartment growing from water damage in the ceiling and walls which they never fully addressed, (they wanted to just paint over the mold) the dryer never worked, there were plumbing problems, and the cockroach problem was out of control. We would submit a maintenance request with details and pictures of what was wrong, they would come by for a few minutes to "assess" the problem, then return over multiple days to try and fix the one request. Due to this lack of coordination and execution from maintenance, we felt a lack of privacy in our own home. We were often having to miss work in order to be home for scheduled maintenance and half the time they would not show up as planned.
The property manager's solution was to end the lease if we weren't happy with the condition of the apartment instead of actually fixing all the problems or letting us transfer to a different unit. She often responded with contempt and passive aggression.
The City completed an inspection and they found a list of safety violations. The property itself was never kept up. The dog waste stations were always overflowing and no clean bags were refilled for months. Trash was always piled up around the trash bin area creating an awful smell. We were gracious and understanding at first but it got us nowhere so we were forced to find a new living situation. Please save yourself the money,...
