Let me just say this place is absolutely stunning and exactly what I was looking for. There is alot of signage so you can't miss it along with ample parking. If your like me and are disabled I will say it is very handicap and stroller friendly. It's still a little rocky but I do have a sport wheelchair so it's a little easier to move around with. The customer service was very friendly and helpful staff made our experience here more enjoyable. If your looking for a good ol country style pumpkin patch I will say this little place exceeded my expectations. I loved all of the beautiful decorations and photo ops. For the little ones grab a wagon and load it up with beautiful pumpkins or explore the many farm animals they had out. My favorite part here was the pumpkin patch. I felt like the peanuts gang waiting for the Great Pumpkin . If your brave and up for a challenge I recommend taking a chance at exploring their corn maze. Before leaving definitely visit the little shop to purchase pumpkins of all shapes and sizes and Indian corn. They offer a very large and beautiful selection. I loved spending time here and look forward to...
Read moreEvery year for the last couple of years, we have been visiting different pumpkin patches around town and haven’t repeated. I have learned to stick to a “farm” not “station”. With that said, Mountain View is a farm/ranch and you see the pumpkin growing on the ground attached to the vines.
It’s about 25 minutes from Poway heading towards Julian. Entrance would be on the left and it’s all dirt. No real restrooms but yes portable restrooms in the parking lot.
This place is free and you pay extra for activities. This place is not as big as Bates or Oma but it does have:
-Corn maze $5 -Petting zoo -Hay ride $5 -Corn cannon $1 for 2 -Pony rides $5 -Food truck -Snack bar
Lots of photo opportunities. There’s so much to do for the family and kids. I even saw people bringing their dogs. There’s an area with picnic tables that you can bring your own food and just chill.
There’s a food truck that sells tacos and hamburgers. Also a snack bar that sells water ($2) and dipping dot ice cream. As well as corn in a cup.
It can get really hot inland so bring a hot, put on sun screen, and...

2019: what a great pumpkin patch and petting zoo. We frequent these places during Sept & October because we have little kiddos. This one is one of the best and most reasonably priced patches we’ve ever been to in SoCal. They have a cute corn maze, which is great for smaller kiddos because you can get out at any time, they have corn launching (super fun, especially for the young boys), lots of goats (babies and mommies), a buffalo!, and tons of nice pumpkins. Honestly, we are really happy we planned this stop here this weekend. (Also, regarding the large white dog, s/he is SO old s/he barely moves from her spot in front of the pumpkin doors. We saw the dog with other dogs 1 time when it went to its water area and it wasn’t bothersome at all to the...
