The Bargain Shop — Local services in Ramseur

I do frequent this store and try to come in at least once a week to check out the deals as I do live rather far away ( Denton to this side of Asheboro is a decent drive ). I honestly have usually been pretty pleased and enjoyed my visit I have noticed one employee can be snappy with the customers and sometimes rude however I’ve never personally experienced it UNTIL TODAY. I came in for one of their bargain busters which was a Unicorn luggage ( adorable and at an incredible price). Once I got it to the register to pay she requested that I take one that was still in the box ( brown cardboard box so you couldn’t see inside ) . I was absolutely fine with that as this is a gift for my daughter however I had one simple request which was to be able to open the box and inspect it . I wanted to be sure the zipper were intact and worked as well as the wheels and the handle after all I AM purchasing it . I simply wanted to make sure everything was as the one I had brought to the register. When I requested to do so she literally rolled her eyes and stated there is nothing wrong with it it’s exactly like this one then in the same breath said never mind take this one we just didn’t want to have to open them . Okay so if you haven’t opened them you can’t actually tell me there is nothing wrong with it ? I honestly made my mind up after being spoke to that way I wouldn’t be back no “Great Price “ is worth me being spoke to that way about a simple reasonable request. I ended up taking one in the box and honestly I haven’t even opened it was a bit disappointed in myself for even spending money there after that . I can say there is one employee here who is an absolute sweetheart and I do appreciate her apology today and her kind words as I was leaving. I have recommended this place to lots of people and I am praying they didn’t receive the same treatment as I did today. Sure people shop here for the Bargain but it does not give anyone the right to treat others as if they are below them and that’s exactly how I was made to feel today as if I were less than because I wanted to check an item before taking it home to my child and...

I used to love coming into the Bargain Shop. It seems like the last few times I've come in have not been the greatest experiences. The prices don't seem to be that great anymore when I compare them to target or walmart. I bought my husband some pomeade hair styling and brought it home and it had been used. I sent them a message on Facebook and never heard back. I'm not super concerned about it, I guess I should of checked it before buying, but I also assumed that would be done by the store. I decided to come by again, and really had to use the bathroom while shopping and the cashier sighed and said they aren't for public use and acted as if I was a burden. She let me use it, but acted like it was the end of the world. I get that if you are worried about folks stealing, but I'm 4 months pregnant and didn't realize I needed to go til I stood up. Personally I will probably stay away...

The only problem with letting y'all in on the good places. Is I can't find as many deals for myself anymore. Clean store. Little bit of everything. You will be surprised at selection. Large baby merchandise and toddler. Prices have jumped here . Its like a lot of stores that start off selling to the public and looking out for them. But after the clientele is built up the prices go up also . You can still find some deals here buts it's getting harder . . Bedding, kitchen,phone, toys, heaters,microwaves,school supplies. Gardening and lamps. A lot to look at. Check it out. Prices are very generous. Mikey Out....
