Went in looking to upgrade to a king mattress from a queen, given we had purchased all of our furniture from Slumberland stores we went to a nearby location in Ramsey.
Manager by the name Adam helped us find a mattress set which fit our wants, being I did not want to spend $1,740 before shopping around we then went to Mattressfirm and the sales associate found a similar model which he discounted to $1,530.
Seeing we had never purchased from Mattressfirm before and were more comfortable with Slumberland, we went back and asked Adam if he could match the price given to us from Mattressfirm. After 10 minutes of Adam describing the differences between the amount of "premium foam" and "normal foam" each mattress had he said there mattress was better and we knew it and for that he would not match the price of the mattress. He did however match the prices of the frame and protector which brought our price down to $1,580.
I made the mistake of telling my girlfriend that this bed was a "want" and not a "need" in front of Adam who then asked me what I did for a living and stated "You know how the game works". This remark compiled with his rude attitude/gestures made us feel unwanted and we left.
Later that day we went to the Northtown Slumberland and purchased the mattress set from the Manager Chris who went above and beyond to ensure we were knowledgeable about the mattress comparison and did not spill out useless facts about "premium foam" and "normal foam".
If anyone ever reads this please remember the fact that customers are not furniture specialists like yourself and when you spill out 10 minutes of "1/2" premium foam compared to 3/8" premium foam" we completely lose interest and think you are just stating useless information in order to not price match a competitor.

When we told the Ramsey location that, that was offered to us Lisa, one of their sales reps, had told my partner that âhe wasnât facing bullets so he doesnât get the discountâ. Giving them another shot; we had later ordered some more furniture. I called in the second time to ask for an update on my order, as it had been months of being pushed out and when I stated that, I was then asked âwell how would you know when your order was suppose to come?â As if I wasnât told a date of when it should be there. And then on top of all of that we get our furniture and it is manufactured wrong and has damage on it. When they came and got the damaged piece they refused to put it together for the second time!!! I called and complained that the furniture wasnât being put together and they just said âwe can come get it and take it off the order when we deliver your couch that is also 3 months lateâ What on earth? Not only do they have the rudest sales staff that I have ever met but they also deliver damaged furniture. Thanks guys! Not only did they offer great financing, but Alex at the Ramsey Location was very nice to work with, very professional, excellent with his communication. Our furniture did take over six months to get in however he kept us informed every step of the way and also gave us a nice gift card to their store for having to wait so long. Great customer service.
There were two gentlemen that delivered all of our furniture named Ian and James. They were both very kind, made sure that they protected my property and also efficient. I couldnât of asked for a better experience from start to finish. They were on time and in and out in a Quickly. The only disappointment was how long it took to get our furniture in however it is not slumberlandâs fault as they also rely on their manufactures. And realistically the way everything is today itâs almost expected that there would be delays.All in all a great experience and I will definitely be doing business with them in the future
