I bought a bike at the Rapid City dealership on August 16, 2022. They arranged delivery.I asked how soon we would have the bikes, because we had connections to have the bikes shipped ourselves, but figured them being a big dealership they had reputable delivery and would just let them handle it. I was told, on the day of sale, I should have the bike in a couple weeks. It has been almost 7 weeks and still NO BIKE! A month ofter the sale I was told it had been loaded on the truck and should be riding it that weekend, NO BIKE.Then I was told the two weeks was from the day it was loaded on the truck, well it has been 3 weeks from that time and still....NO BIKE.I was then told it would be delivered this weekend still....NO BIKE!!! I would call but not get an answer to my questions and sometimes not even get a call back. I used the âcontact usâon the website, sent a message, I still have not received a reply from that. In the past few weeks the dealership has been keeping in touch. But they have no idea where the delivery driver is or where my bike is! I called the dealership yesterday and told them something had to be done, the salesman I spoke with said he would call me back, you guess it, no call back. I also asked what they had been doing to find my bike he said they had been trying to call the driver, which was proven unsuccessful, so they were doing nothing. He told me the driver was in Chicago, I was told he was there 3 days ago!! I contacted local law enforcement and DMV Field Investigations, they advised me to seek a refund. I contacted Rapid City police to report the bike stolen, they went to speak with the dealership and they told them little different story. He was told that driver had some issues along the delivery route and didn't know where I got the 2 week delivery from. (It came from the dealership on the day of sale) They were telling me the driver wouldn't answer their calls. I have tried to be very patient but this is so frustrating, I am tired of being lied to over and over. They are good at taking your money, the sale was flawless, other than not giving us even a T shirt (but wouldn't wear one from there now anyway), but after the sale they don't seem to care. When coming out to the rally this was usually the first place I would stop, sad to say...
Read moreGreat, friendly with employees. After the transaction, I felt the salesman Jason was a phony. He mentioned many times that he praised the service team with thoroughly checking out all bikes on display floor. As I drove off with the bike, I headed out on I-90 and brought the bike right back at first exist ramp. I had not test rode the bike. The mirrors allowed me to only see my hands, clutch and brake levers. I was blind to rear traffic to turn in either lane. I walk right back to Jason and told him it was a death trap. He told me that he didn't ride with any mirrors on his bike and offered me to buy a pair from the sales team. I was familiar with parts since I had earlier bought pairs for the bike I had just traded in. I explained to Tim Stokley in parts the situation and he found me a part of used mirrors and installed them. He made my day! I was disappointed in Jason's lack of help within 15 minutes of handing me the keys. Next issue after riding ride back to hotel in Deadwood and parked to bike for the evening. Next morning, we are going to head back to home 8 hours away. Wind forecast was terrible, so we were leaving Deadwood hotel at 6 am. Dead Battery. thought it was strange that Jason had put the bike on a trickle charger inside the showroom as he installed the in transit plate. it was extremely windy so he pulled it inside. After discovering that the battery was not properly inspected and I think Jason knew there was a battery issue. After my inspection at 6 am. The 2 battery cover screws where removed with my fingers. (not tight), The positive post connection was super loose also. So, alternator was getting juice to the battery. No battery shops open in Deadwood till 8 am. At about 7;15 am a rescue gentleman with a booster charger offered to help and the bike started right up. Another strike for Jason because I think he knew that the battery should have been checked out before I drove off. Good thing that both my Brother and myself worked in bike shops and auto garages in years past. I have a background in sales and supervised 27 salesmen for many years and I faithfully trusted Jason and shouldn't have....
Read moreMy wife and I just purchased a new '23 Road Glide Special from BHHD and couldn't be happier. Our salesman Dustin Emery was awesome, we came in looking for a nice used bike but ultimately decided to go with new. He did not try to steer us toward new in any way or put ANY kind of pressure on us one way or the other, his first concern was budget and not putting us in a financial situation we would be uncomfortable with. (I gave him a bit of a bogus budget just to see how he would handle it). A no pressure sales environment is pretty much non-existent anymore and boy was it refreshing to deal with Dustin. This is not our first bike, but is our first Harley and he patiently answered our 500 questions and helped us find the model we were comfortable with. He worked with us on price a little and let us change a couple of accessories around no problem. He also provided his cell phone number and let us know that he's never any more than a phone call away if we need anything. Next up was Curtis in the accessories department/chrome shop. Very friendly and knowledgeable and guided us through 500 more questions we had. He thoughtfully showed us a few things that would give us a more enjoyable riding experience and he wasn't wrong. Again, no pressure here to buy anything. Lastly, Trevor and Londa in the finance department were very friendly and efficient. Trevor guided us through the various extended warranty options and prices were clear cut and no trying to sneak a bunch of b.s. in like every other place tries to do right at the end. Zero pressure here to buy any warranty. Londa was very quick and streamlined with the final paperwork and had us gone in no time. The service department squeezed us in with a very busy schedule to have our accessories put on overnight, wow! Even better yet they had everything in stock which is crazy. Sorry about the long review, but these folks earned it. I did not have high hopes for customer satisfaction going into a big dealer like this, but i couldn't have been more wrong. Thanks so much guys and gals at BHHD, you'll be seeing our faces a lot more...
