Rob is your go to guy if you are looking for fun and upbeat music for your event. We used Rob for my sister's wedding and he did not disappoint! It only made sense to use him for my own wedding. He was a dream to work with and was always on top of his game. The day of the wedding he got the dance floor dancing even though our wedding was in the morning! Rob also kept asking if there was anything my husband or I needed which was extremely kind of him. That to me showed how much he truly cared about us and wanted us to have a phenomenal day. He is also extremely flexible, the day of our wedding my husband and I decided to change the music up once we noticed people needed some help getting onto the dance floor. The music we had selected wasn't doing quite the trick so we asked if he could play different upbeat dance songs and he did that! I was so grateful for the ability to change that up because it made the day run much smoother. Rob and his assistant killed it and we couldn't be happier. Rob also offers much more for your event, such as "dancing on a cloud". We saw our friend do this at their wedding and it created such a surreal moment for the two of them and at the moment I was unsure of who provided something like this. After some research I found out our DJ provides services such as that and he made it so easy to add that on to our package. He also was able to adjust the package we chose to fit what we needed and did not need and he adjusted the price accordingly. Choosing Base Entertainment to DJ our wedding was the perfect choice! We had music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. From our initial inquiring to making final payments, we were thrilled with the communication from the President Gregg Hollmann along with Christopher(Chris) Smith our phenomenal DJ. Emails were always answered promptly and all of our questions were answered.

The process was smooth and everything we needed to do was clearly explained to us. When we met with Chris to go over the online forms and music selections, we felt at ease. His upbeat personality, patience, and kindness made us feel calm as we talked through everything. In meeting Chris it was clear that he took his job seriously. More importantly, Chris shows that he really has a passion for his work. Chris knows how to get everyone out on the dance floor! He knows how to read the room and that honestly enhanced our reception experience.

After a speech from a Rutgers Alumni, Chris(without being told to do so) played the Rutgers Fight Song! All of our family and friends joined in! It was simply an incredible moment created by Chris.

As the Fight Song concluded, I looked over at my husband and said “Chris is the best DJ! There is no one better.” Not everyone is lucky enough to have a DJ who makes you stop in the middle of your wedding to comment on just how amazing they are! We were so lucky to have Chris!

Base Entertainment Group was a joy to work with for our wedding at The Farmhouse at the Grand Colonial. Rob, the owner is well acquainted not only with this venue, but obviously with music and crowd pleasing. During our initial interview he provided a comprehensive list of choices, but never pushed any of them upon us. He's amenable to the choices of music you want, but at the same time is aware of the music that "gets a party going" so you can rely on his experience and expertise. The equipment he uses is first rate and the melding of songs is smooth as glass. He kept all of us informed during the reception with the ebb and flow of evening's entertainment. Slow dances wove after natural breaks like first dances or cake cutting - then onto music that had the whole party on the dance floor with smiles galore. Rob arrived well in advance of the wedding ceremony and his team of 3 worked cohesively to create the precise atmosphere we related to him at our consultation the week prior.
