I remember going there for three years when I was a kid. I remember my one year, I fell on the steps of the bath house, landing on my tail bone and not being able to walk for almost a week. Getting into trouble all the time because I couldn't even walk more than a foot at a time because of how much pain I was in. They wouldn't even let me call my parents. Come to find out after camp I cracked and bruised my tail bone. Good thing my parents took me to the doctor after camp. One year, we went camping in tents at some other lake and it rained so bad that everything that I had in my tent got soaked. Worse of all, some took a piss by my tent and everything smelt like piss. That same year, I was there for two weeks and I only bathed twice and worse of all, I started my period before I left. My parents had to have all the windows down in the car on the way home because of how gross I smelt. When I got home, I had almost an hour shower because I didn't feel clean. One year, that bath house filled up on us and along with the porter potties. I have a really weird thing about porter potties, so I held my bowels for so long that I pissed myself. I was so embarrassed that I bawled like a baby, apologized to the counselors over and over while a couple brought me down to my cabin. To get new clothes and to have a shower. One year, we had kids going home here and there because of the "Bird Flu" going through. Girls were puking everywhere and the reason why everyone was getting sick was because we were still doing our activities in the rain and the adults didn't care until we got sick. The camp nurse didn't care about what happened to me the night I fell and the week after. All the adults thought that I was faking it. I told my counselors and the owner that I couldn't walk, they didn't care. The only people who did, were the girls who I became friends with. I stopped going because of the BS that...
Read moreMy daughter spent 2 weeks at this camp and I'm so disappointed by the things I heard. Counselors & staff were fist fighting, campers were constantly fighting each other with words with barely any consequences, and to top it all off my daughter says she and the other girls weren't able to shower daily. I don't know of the circumstances and I don't really care but this is absolutely disgusting. I was told that there were 3 showers and bathrooms were nasty and unkept. Some of the campers were on their menstrual cycle and weren't able to shower and I cannot believe that these were the rules, for whatever reason. I had to make my daughter shower immediately after getting home because she smelled. I asked her when was the last time she bathed she said either Sunday or Monday, they came back on Wednesday. Please please do not send your daughters to The Summer Camp. These things definitely outweighed the fun that...
