Moved into our new home and knew we had hard water based on the $5 test you can get at your local hardware store. In the middle of winter the water took a toll on our family, and we were going through lotion all the time. Needless to say, not a single one of us has had to use lotion since the install!!

We called Culligan and they can put the next day. Kevin tested our water and actually educated us on our water and different things we could do. He was AWESOME!! He got a quote done on site and gave us the pros & cons to both renting and buying and the differences between different products. Super polite, very professional.

The tech came out to install a week later and was also super polite and very respectful of our home. The install was faster than originally quoted. We’d originally planned to pay first month and the install that day, but half way through the install I received a phone call of a family emergency. Our technician heard that and said “Don’t worry about anything today. Take care of your family and we’ll work on the payment and stuff later when things are better”. And continued the install. Granted, I’m sure billing is an option to everyone; but just they way he said it gave me hope in society that people still do care.

Kevin arrived early and spent 1-1/2 hours showing me why our 9-year-old sears Kennore water softener was beyond repair. Our water tested very hard at 27 ppm which confirmed that the softener wasn’t functioning. The symptoms I noticed were no change in pellet level, scale build-up on our sinks, dry hair & skin and rough towels. Also I have been having difficulty with some wash loads not draining. We replaced our dishwasher with a new one because it wouldn’t drain. I had 2 different plumbers come to the house prior to calling Culligan and neither thought the water softener was a problem even though the bottom half was rock solid! It’s so unfortunate that there are plumbing companies in Red Wing that choose the work they’re willing to do and send bills up to $2000 without addressing the underlying problem. One installed new drainage from our washing machine for $1000 and a reverse osmosis under counter system in our kitchen sink for another $1000.

Kevin was very professional and I regret not starting my search with Culligan and taking care of the problems with a new water softener first! Although their prices are 3X the price of purchasing at Menards, the quality is superior and they do all the work and haul away that I am...

We have been using Culligan of Red Wing for over 30 years. They have always been attentive of our needs and have never failed to be here when they said they would. We have very hard water as our well is tapped into the Jordan water aquifer, and have problems with all the iron gumming things up now and then. They always have the parts with them to fix the issues. And did I mention that they are always friendly, and always willing to answer our questions. Mark is especially friendly, going the extra step to ensure that our system is operating as it should, and making sure that all the settings are still correct. They have been a GREAT company to have on our side all these years. Our water is perfect, and we do get complemented on our water from others that visit.
