I am 63 yrs old, and I grew up in this church in the 60's, an all my family and friends from those days are buried there in the little cemetery...Virgie Dixon was my foster mother from when I was 6 till I was grown...at that time, unfortunately due to racism, there were no black folks...now there are no white folks...how things change! I left Lithonia in 1973, but it is still in my heart and I love it. So many many many memories there, and many of them are from this...

Three of my family members & many of my parent’s friends are buried there. We used to find arrowheads & pre-Revolutionary War graves.I’ll always love Rock Chapel....
