I was reminded of paradise lakes today and recall my first visit(s) this past spring. My son and i went for some late season trout in mid to late May. It was a weekday and we were the only ones there. I was a little leary. The owners who were great people, were very low key wen i asked if there were any trout left and he laughed and said yeah so i figured whatever. Well needless to say, we caught big trout all morning till about noon wen we got tired of catching them. Fish hit lures (NI-TI -1 spoons made in PA by pcolas, maggots and waxworms below a bobber. Went again and got more. I got one 19". Theres 3 lakes there and they told me all abt all the catfish and carp contests in the summer. The older gentleman i believe the owners father shared many stories from the coal mining days associated with that area. I will definately return in 2019. BTW there are contests for trout too...
