Gorgeous hike! We started at the Strawberry Basin trailhead right out of Strawberry campground, to the peak and back. The trail passes Strawberry Lake, Strawberry Falls, then up to the peak. There is a loop that would have been nice, but wanted pictures of the waterfall with better light, so did out and back. The hike is challenging at about 12.5 miles round trip and 3500+ in elevation gain but the varied and gorgeous scenery makes it worth every step. Definitely recommend hiking all the way to little strawberry lake, the ridge you see from the lake is huge! Bring binoculars because you might get to see some mountain goats climbing the rocks :) Tons of wild berries as well! raspberries, thimbleberries, strawberries, huckleberries and grousberries were all delicious trail snacks...
