Svenson Sportfishing — Local services in Revillagigedo Island

Just got home to Texas from our Alaska cruise, far and away the highlight of the trip was our Halibut trip with Svenson sport fishing, I booked it a few days before we left on the cruise. When the ship arrived in Ketchikan I received a text that my private shuttle was waiting for us. We literally walked off the ship and got in the private shuttle! We stopped at a local store to get some drinks and fishing license, and where on the water in 30 min. We caught our limit of Halibut as well as a couple of pacific cod, and still had time to try and catch a king salmon. Axel and his team have thought of everything they even have a local bald eagle named Steve that comes out to the boat for pictures! Lol

If you are on a cruise ship book privately through Svenson it is 1000x better and it’s a PRIVATE CHARTER! You won’t be packed on a boat with 6 or 8 people you don’t know.

I have fished charter boats all over the world and this was far and away the best I’ve experienced.

And finally my fish will be arriving tomorrow morning via fedex air cleaned, packaged in 1pound servings ready...

I just got back from a 4-day trip with Svenson Sportfishing in Ketchikan, and I honestly can’t say enough good things. Axle, the owner and our guide, was fantastic. He’s friendly, easy to talk to, and works incredibly hard to make sure everyone has a great time and catches fish.

We hit our limits on king salmon, halibut, and rockfish, and even went after black cod—which not many charter captains even try for. Axle really knows what he’s doing, and it shows. Every day was productive, and more importantly, just plain fun.

Second year flying in to Ketchikan to fish with Axel’s crew at Svenson Sportfishing! Requested Captain Conner again who didn’t disappoint. Averaged a massive Coho every 12 minutes during our 6 hr charter and all 5 of us limited. Conner goes the distance in making sure your day is incredible, he’s a human fish finder and an all around great guide. This year we had our 91 yr old Mom on board with us and she loved every moment.
