1 star for the ADON who is a liar and manipulator. Very unprofessional with representation of leadership capabilities. The way she attempts to run a nursing facility is sad and useless. The administration is burnt out. They need an entire new system. 5 stars for the certified nursing assistants who show up everyday with leadership and experience in actually caring for and about the patients. If not for them this place would fall apart. Excellent and exceptional housekeeping and dietary services as well. Like I said the only change needed is a new admin team who are accountable for their actions. Agency Nurses and CNA’s beware of this place. You will be used for a couple weeks and then you’ll be lied to and your contract breached. Not just my experience. Several nurses and CNA’s have vouched for this kind of behavior. Contracts cut short, hours not available and they refuse to pay even though they signed a contract needing you for the said amount of time. It’s sad they turn away and use the workers who actually care to show up (even drive 10 hours from home) and perform well when ASKED to come to this facility by the poorly equipped administration. Riceville wouldn’t need so much help retaining staff if they were treated fairly and actually held up their end of contracts that they requested. How are you going to ask people to drop everything, drive hours from home, spend their own income on housing only to breach the contract and refuse to pay them? You are a small enough facility that if the administration actually worked you wouldn’t need the agency help. Don’t waste people’s time, money and energy when you have no interest in actually uses and paying them for their services. Sad sad self accountability. We have had a great experience so far and staff has been extremely helpful on multiple levels! The communication has been great and they let me know what is going on or if there are any changes. I know this is the best place for my loved one and they offer more individualized care. I love that they actually do stuff with the residents as well and make them feel like a part of the community. You won't find a place like this...
