Richfield City Swimming Pool — Local services in Richfield

Gotta say, I am not very impressed with our experience at the pool today. Drove an hour and a half to come to the pool. We called last night and they told us they were open until 6. They shut down at 2:30 and kicked us all out, even those who had only been there 10 minutes. The staff was no good at all. They were inconsistent with they're whistle blowing, allowing some kids to do some things and others not. If you eat, they make you wait 30 minutes before getting in the pool again also. The kids enjoyed it, but even they said the staff was super strict and not letting them do anything. I am one for following rules, but dang, this was ridiculous. Won't be coming back to...

Good pool for lap swim when it’s available. There are often things obstructing the lap lanes: the inflatable obstacle course on fridays and saturdays and a swim team practice on monday and Wednesday evenings. Neither of these things is on the schedule, which would help. If you don’t want to lap swim very early in the morning your only other opportunity is tuesday evenings and a short period on Thursday (they close early and sometimes are not open at all).

Perhaps the inflatable could be put in the main section of the pool instead of the lap lanes. This would free up Friday and Saturday. As is I wish there was a better option for lap swimming that was available more days...

I normally hate posting bad reviews, but this needs to be addressed.. My daughters went here with their cousins a couple of weeks ago with their cousins. They said they swam a little too far and started having troubles. The life guards were more interested in socializing and yelling at them to "get off the rope" than they were in answering their cries for help! Really???
