I attended a wedding catered by Flair of Country recently. The food was phenomenal and I was extremely impressed. However, as they were cleaning up to leave the groom ran out to where they were gathering the dishes and asked if there was a knife they could borrow to cut the cake (understandable, since no one ever thinks to mention that you need to bring your own knife to cut your wedding cake). The girl the groom talked to was nothing but kind and went to get a knife, but the gentleman left standing at the table made a comment “should’ve just said no.” I am appalled that someone whose job is to create beautiful dining events for their clients would be so callous, especially in front of guests who could clearly hear what he was saying. The cake cutting took all of 2 minutes. They weren’t even done cleaning up the rest of the dishes by the time they had the knife back in hand. We needed 45 box lunches for a meeting of our organization's state officers being held at a local hotel. Traffic was heavier than expected when I went to pick up the order and I started to question whether I would be back to the hotel in time for the release of everyone for lunch. When I pulled up to the front door, a cart having everything was ready and I was loaded up and on my way in what seemed like less than five minutes. I had the meals in place shortly thereafter. Many hours later I finally had the chance to ask someone what they thought of the lunch. I heard more than once, "That was the best lunch that we've had in recent years."
