What an absolute gem! I am originally from Louisiana and often find myself jonesing for a taste of home. Especially smoked boudin. When we moved to this area I thought that there would be no way to find it around here and that I would have to place orders from Louisiana. I'm so thankful to have found this market! They have so many of my favorites from back home and yes, smoked boudin! The owners are so nice! And they make trips to Louisiana to get their products straight from the source. We bought boudin, meat pies, Cajun Powder Sweet Treat Chocolate Sugar, Community Coffee and even found a new favorite thing: Daigle's Sweet & Sour Spicy Cajun Sauce! They also carry stuffed chickens, seafood products, alligator and so many awesome spices and sauces. They also told us that they do samples of Cracklins every second Saturday of the month, so make sure you stop in! Whether you are from Cajun country or want to try something new!

I'm a south Louisiana native living in central NC. I was pretty excited when I randomly found Richlands Cajun Market. I drove 90 minutes to pick up some staples, some of which I haven't had since the Marine Corps moved me from Louisiana 18 years ago. The store was clean and owner was very helpful and friendly. And her accent instantly reminded me of my family back in Lafayette (really, it was so awesome just to hear that accent in NC, I can't even explain). Anyway, Richlands Cajun Market is definitely going to receive more visits from me. Thanks for bringing a taste of home to NC!

I am from Louisiana and can say that they have authentic Cajun and Creole items. I enjoyed my experience and will be returning regularly to get my staple items. They were very kind and allowed me to take pictures of their products to share with my sister. This was a very nice gesture as it is their establishment. Also, they have complimentary Community coffee and seasoning tasting bar for your purchasing pleasure. In true Louisiana Southern hospitality we are family now.ā¤ļø Thank you for making the run back home for us Cajuns and Creoles in the area. Geaux Saints!! āšœļø

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this place definitely deserves more than just five stars! First off, let’s talk about the customer service!!! Upon arrival, which was ten minutes before closing (sorry about that 😬) I walked in to over the top, exceptional customer service! I was greeted with friendly faces and smiles, shown around, spoken to like I was family and got to taste some sauces! I came for the Boudin šŸ˜Ž and ended up buying more than I expected to spend, and that’s okay - after eating everything tonight, definitely worth it!!! Be sure to grab the Boudin Balls ($17.99 for 24), the cheese Boudin Balls ($7.99 for 12) and the Cajun Mayo! I wanted to get the blonde BBQ sauce too but I’ll save that for another day. Overall, the price of everything isn’t that bad at all!! Thank you for bringing Richlands a taste of NOLA!!! I will definitely be back for more!!! Can’t wait to try the King Cake when Mardi Gras comes around!!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!...

I never leave reviews. Made the trip down with my wife who’s been a bit homesick for south Louisiana to get provisions for gumbo. On driving up, the place /looks/ like a meat market out past Lafayette—to say, it’s a little prefab metal building. Passed the smell test.

Went inside, immediately greeted by the proud owners and operators who broke down how the business works and their events (apparently every second Saturday is cracklin day, and every March they have a gumbo cookoff).

All the old favorites were there: Boudin, Smoked Sausage, variants of both—lamentably, they were out of Andouille, but they’ll be back in stock soon (nature of the business, they self-haul from Louisiana). Loved the fact that they had samples of the seasoning be complimentary coffee. Seasoning, Steens, hot sauces, rice, blue runner products all on the shelf.

The best part—it’s affordable, compared to ordering from Best Stop, Poche’s, etc.

We’ll...
