Cones Meat & Farms — Local services in Ridge Spring

I wanted to try Cones Market, which I did over a month ago. I've been contemplating about whether or not I should write this review. Well, you see what I decided. And I feel badly about it. But, I must say something about the meat I got there. My family rarely eats steak because we can't really afford it. On occasion I break down and get it. You see, I get EBT snap benefits, so I have to be mindful how I spend. Anyway, I spent about my last $30 for two chuck steaks cut very thick. They looked great! I seasoned them like always and grilled them outside on the bbq. We couldn't eat them! There was some kind of funky taste that was so strong that it overrode any seasoning I had put on them. Now, I know how to cook a steak, but these were inedible! I was so disappointed and felt dumb for spending that much for steaks that got fed to the animals. Best way I can describe it is they tasted wild, like deer if you don't cook it right. I think I should get a refund, but I didn't want to go there and get into a dispute about...

I am so disappointed in the service I've received my last two visits to Cones Meat & Farm. I make a conscious decision to drive 30mins to support this place to attain the goods I desire, just to be met by poor customer service, and rude employees. Years ago this was a place where everyone was treated friendly, and those serving you communicated so that there weren't many/any issues, but don't expect me to do your job for you, put up with your disrespect and be a happy camper, while spending my money in your establishment. Today you've lost a customer, and I'll rather buy from any other store than be treated...

Been in area ,10 plus years.In the beginning,there was no other place I d rather shop,not only because of convenience but the quality was so much better than Walmart,etc and a neighborhood shop. …..and then a change started some say ,change of ownership. Not sure. Ground beef,oily and mealy,just not what it was. 2 lbs of ground beef yielding 1/2 cup or more of oil. Sadly now it’s worse. Please take the quantity back to the way it used to be. More repeat business and reputation is better than where you are...
