Buyers beware! FRAUD. We purchased a washer and dryer from their line of Samsung “new factory warranty “ items. The washer broke and while contacting Samsung for the warranty work- we found out there was indeed no warranty and Ridgeland Appliance had purchased them as “as is” units, but then put them in their store and sold them as “NEW UNITS WITH FACTORY WARRANTY. “We have all the original paperwork that shows what Ridgeland Appliance did…FRAUD in my opinion and many others. They then proceeded to tell us that they would be the “good guys” and fix the machine themselves. They told us I would need to load the washer and deliver it to them, they would give us a loaner which I would need to haul home and install, then when our washer was fixed- I would need to repeat that process again. ?? From their fraudulent sale I would be doing this? They have a crew that hauls them daily. I asked them what if I was 90 years old and couldn’t load them. They replied I would have paid for delivery then…I reluctantly loaded the washer and brought it to them. When I arrived, I had our washer attached to a good appliance dolly and on a tilt trailer for easy unloading and putting in their shop. Their service tech then instructed me to unhook my dolly- I thought maybe this was something with company protocol where they can’t use my equipment. But then to my surprise, the guy just grabbed our washer and manhandled it over the edge of the trailer and onto the ground. This really got my wheels turning, THIS is how they treat our machine in front of us- what is it like behind closed doors? And this is the guy doing the “service” work for them. I wanted to speak to the owner/manager and luckily he was at the next location we had to go and pick up their loaner. When we arrived at that location, they loaded the most rusty/dirty machine I’ve ever seen. Even college kids rental house basement machines are cleaner than this thing. “Nice guys” right. I then started asking Mike- the owner/manager questions . I asked how long he thought until our washer would be repaired. He replied that he can’t get the parts currently and it may be months. I asked him that if it’s months before we get our washer back and the “1 year warranty “ expires in that time, will he stand behind the repair and extend the warranty- If he slaps this thing together and it breaks again two days after we get it back…he says nope…but I can sell you a new washer with a warranty! Like we would fall for that again! So I asked if they have any certifications or proof of their service repair capabilities and they provided none. So why would I want these two guys with no credentials repairing our washer when we paid for Factor Warranty Samsung technicians. His service tech then wanted to get physical and was told to leave. I asked if they would trade us a comparable washer and they can fix ours and then sell it when completed- he didn’t want to do that either. Again, really shows how they stand behind their own service work or taking care of customers when they sell them items that aren’t new as they paid for. He then brought up return/refunding the washer. YES! Perfect I said. That would be exactly what I want….but then he pulled back on that and said his wife/gf Heather is the owner and I’d have to take that up with her. I then told him I didn’t want their junk loaner washer and told them to remove it from my trailer. I told him the refund is what I want. I already delivered it back to them for free. He tried saying we were blackmailing him for that- how did WE become the BAD GUYS here? I told them I would be finding ways to let the public know about this and bring awareness to anyone else that may have bought advertised “new with factory warranty “ products from them. Check your warranty through the manufacturer!! Do business with a known reputable business, not these guys! We purchased another set from a different source and are currently waiting to hear back from Ridgeland Appliance . They still have our fraud washer. Looking like we will be starting a civil suit to solve.

Our dryer stopped heating last winter. We took it to our regular repair shop who tried several fixes but couldn't resolve the issue after the apparent problem was an NLA (no longer available) part. After doing some research on our own we found the part number of the NLA part. We stopped into Ridgeland Appliance with the part number and were pleasantly surprised when they were able to provide us a used one from a recycled machine in minutes. After ensuring it resolved our issue, they gave us a great deal and now we have nice fluffy towels instead of stiff towels dried in the...

Friendly people. Sent me off with a gas dryer when I’d bought an electric…? Rapid exchange but I’m not entirely certain about the longevity of the washer, makes remarkable banging when starting its spin cycle. Paid close to $2,000 for the pair and will probably shop around when it quits. Suggestion for prospective buyers, pay particular attention to what you’re thinking of buying. There’s a reason “scratch & dents” are less expensive, sometimes they...
