Friendly, professional, and responsive. I had (still working on) an issue with a shipper who damaged an item I won. I immediately alerted the auction house and the next morning.The owner and shipping dept reached out immediately to help me work on resolving this issue. They sent me a link to help start the claims process to help resolve the issue. They were just as disappointed as I was, in the fact, the item left their shop in beautiful condition, only to not make it to it's destination intact . Now, this was not a negative reflection in their packing process, but a reflection on a certain shipping company's performance, which is not the fault of Donley Auction house. They were professional and quick to help me. They said should the shipping company fail to do their job and rectify the issue, they would help me find parts to replace what the carrier destroyed. I have been fortunate enough to be the high bidder/winner on several auctions conducted by Donley Auctions. In the past I did this via Liveaucteers. On this auction, bid directly using the Donley website. The commission was 2% less, which doesn’t sound like much, but this can add up. When you buy collectibles and antiques from the Donley’s, you are buying from collectors! They KNOW their business. They have always been quick to answer questions and do so pleasantly. If your item is small enough to be shipped, it is shipped by a company called Shipping Saint, which is Donley’s own in-house shipping department. We had some items that we had that we had no clue what to do with. I visited the website and sent an email to Neal, he responded within a day and was so informative. I had so many questions and he never hesitated to answer them. I went there today, 8/11, to drop off our items and I met Lilian at the front desk who was so nice. Unfortunately, Neal wasn't in but that gave me the opportunity to meet Randy Donley and John M who handled all of our consignment inventory. I truly appreciate the genuine, honest, upfront and respect they showed to myself and our consignments and it was probably some of the best conversations I've had in a long time.
