I usually really like Champion Xpress and prefer it over the other billions of car washes in town. It always feels like a better wash for my money and the vacuum/cleaning area somehow feels cleaner than other places. The rags are a big bonus. However, last night I had a very frustrating experience. I went to one location, arrived at 6:30 pm to find that it was closed already for maintenance. (??) No problem. I drove to this (the 528) location and got there at 6:40. Closing time is 7 pm, but I still had 20 minutes for a quick wash and wipe down of my car. The attendant who took my payment warned that they were about to close and I wouldn’t get a chance to use the vacuums. Bummer, but understandable that they don’t want people lingering, vacuuming their cars after closing. Was sent through the wash, all the lights were on and it looked like half the stuff was already turned off. Got out with 10-12 minutes to spare only to find that not only was no one around to wipe the windows, but all the rags had already been collected so I couldn’t even wipe down my own car. Hey, I get it. I’ve worked retail and service jobs. Closing time is closing time. But the time before closing time is NOT closing time. I get turning off the vacuums just before 7. But shutting everything down and removing the rags at 6:50 is a little frustrating. It wasn’t going to take over 10 minutes for me to wipe the water spots off my windows. Anyway, I left pretty angry at the experience. My bad for showing up late, but really, shut everything down at 7, not 15 minutes before. 2 stars because I still like and will use your business again, but was not thrilled with my...
Read moreUpdate 13 Oct - I arrived shortly after opening, and the service is BEYOND out of this world. They even wipe down your windows upon exiting the wash! Make sure you tip these hard workers, 'cause they deserve it.
The wash cleans so well, and the vacuums are strong! There's no better carwash around, period.
Also, THIS LOCATION IS NOT ON A DIRT ROAD. Who blatantly lies about such a thing?!
Original review: I'm so happy to have a Champion Xpress so close to where I live! I'd been using the Mister Carwash on 550 since moving up here, and they don't come anywhere near to being as good as Champion. I'd missed my location in Grant County so much, and now I can get the excellent service and washes I had down there, just up the road! The towels available for wiping down your vehicle are such a huge perk, just PLEASE do not steal them, people!
This has to be said: if you leave a bad review simply because you don't approve of where this carwash was built, you're abusing a tool meant to help businesses improve, and need to contact the proper people to whine about your issue with...
Read moreTried it out and was not impressed. The wash was mediocre. There was a guy hosing off the front end and rear with a hose. The automatic part seemed to go well. The gals at the end attempting to dry were bot good at conveying directions and got huffy when I pulled too far forward. The girls also did a terrible attempt to dry the windows and wipe down the excess water. I really liked the vacuums and the mat wash! I was hoping for a vacuum tool that could reach into the cup holders and handle grips, buy neither option was able to. The large hose suction was so powerful, it sucked the seat covers up from the seat! I was pleased to see a few towels available for drying the vehicle and cleaning the interior, but it did not work to wipe the inside of my windshield. I will probably stick to my regular wash place down the hill where they wash the interior windows and wipe it all...
