Having been very satisfied with Echo power equipment in the past and currently owning an Echo blower, I decided to purchase a new Echo trimmer from Wright Implement in Sellersburg, IN on June 21, 2021. I discussed the warranty info with Jason and was told of the 2yr warranty. I was assured if anything went wrong with the trimmer they would look at it and fix any issue since it had a 2yr warranty, excluding "fuel issues". Within a few months I noticed oil would spray out of the muffler during operation. Knowing I am very precise when mixing the oil and gas for all my power equipment I knew It could not be a "fuel issue". I also use the same fuel source for my 9 yr old Echo blower which has 0 issues. In Oct. 2021 I returned the trimmer to Wright Implement of Sellersburg for an inspection to find the source of the problem.I told them about the problem and explained that I am very precise when mixing the fuel and that my 9 tr old blower uses the same fuel source with 0 problems( both pieces of equipment require 50:1 ratio). After their inspection I was told there was nothing wrong with the trimmer but I was charged $37.80. When I protested reminding them the trimmer had a 2yr warranty I was told that I must be mixing the fuel wrong. I then explained about my blower using the same fuel source with 0 problems and was met with blank stares. The mechanic I was explaining this to simply walked away from me. I then asked the "service rep" to explain to me why this was not covered under the warranty and all she would say was " we have to pay the mechanic to look at it. So Wright Implement charged me $37.80 to inspect a trimmer that I bought from them 4 months earlier that is still under a 2yr warranty.
This is both unbelievable and unacceptable. It is apparent to me that Wright Implement does not stand by their warranties and uses the "fuel issue" as a loop hole to avoid any financial obligation to the warranties. It is also quite apparent that they have a total disregard for customer service and their reputation in...
Read moreThis is my third year using them to winterize and service my lawnmowers and I will never use them again. Eric called to tell me that my zero turn lawnmower bearings where bad and needed to be replaced and the my riding lawnmower was fine. That the estimated total would be $700.00. I ask Eric if he could scrape it and how much it would cost. He said it would be nothing but told me that if I only did a partial service on the zero turn that it would bring the cost closer to $400.00 and that he promised that it would be no where near $700.00 but might be closer $500.00 once all the service was done. So I said yes let's do that. Guess what? I get a bill for $691.94 which is basically right under $700. I work crazy hours even though I do not make much so I left a voice-mail about the above. I then get a text message with the pdf for the two lawnmowers. Can you guess what I saw? The zero turn was $456.26. Which means I was given a false estimate (or white lie) and advice to benefit their pocket and destroy mine. I will never use them again once my trust is misused it can never be gained again. If this was a miscommunication and Eric did not make it clear that the price was only for the one lawnmower (which I find hard to belive since all the other times it was always for both lawnmowers) then he should of used the wording "it will be this much for this lawnmower and this much for the other which will bring it to a total of x amount." Again will never...
Read moreCalled early morning to check availability of a few parts and after being placed on very long hold was eventually given a price. The man on the phone was very rude and short. No courtesy or how can I help you or thank you. Couple hours later arrive at the location and another guy at the counter “Wayne” was even more rude and condescending. He treated the guy in line in front of me even worse. I told him my tractor was an industrial model and he sternly told me they didn’t carry industrial parts and it wasn’t an industrial parts business. He asked a couple more questions and then stated he was going to make it easy for me. He placed the parts on the counter and rudely asked if they looked anything like this. I said yes sir, I need 4 of them please and he took my credit card. After running the card he brought the receipt and card back and threw it towards me saying sign it. Again no please or thank you. A few years ago I ordered parts and waited almost two weeks for them to arrive. After driving an hour to get them the price was $40 higher than quoted. I was given the take them or leave them option then and left them. I thought I’d try again but nothing has changed there. I bet Ben Wright would be treated better. I won’t spend any more of my money there and I’m going to tell everybody I know about...
