85 Nails — Local services in Riverdale

I am horrified , especially seeing the great reviews. The first thing that should have had me running for the doors is how the techs sat around gossiping about how the owners need to hire more people so that they can quit and work out of their homes. I let that slide and continued to pick out my color for the sns dip. I picked out a nice pink color. As the tech is doing it, the color is coming out as an awful blueish purple. I asked her about it and she acted clueless and unconcerned “stating she didn’t know why it was different from the color I picked and that it may change as she put on more coats. I was pressed for time so I just rolled with it since I didn’t have much of a choice. It did change but instead of a pink, I ended up with a light blue color. The color to the shape of my nails looked like the work of a toddler. Typically I would not have left with my nails looking like that but I was pressed for time and had to leave town so I had no choice but to suck it up. With all of that aside, after two days one of my fingers began to swell and became infected. So now I have to take time out of my vacation to find a shop in a different state to help me get the sns dip off which after looking at my finger they became MORTIFIED! I ended up having to go buy acetone to soak it off so that I could put antibiotic ointment on my nail bed and wrap it up. I’m not even going to speak about the pain. On top of all of this, the rest of them started chipping. This is a 5 day vacation and my nails are already looking like they’re auditioning for a horror movie. I’ve had the sns dip several times in the past from a different salon and I have never encountered any of these issues. Never again. I have a good notion to contact my card company and dispute the charge for this...

If I could give No star I would. I called and made an appointment with Vee. I noticed her work on ig and liked the design and colors she had done on her clients. The appointment was for 1pm I got there by 12:45 and walked in exactly at 1pm, I was greeted and then told to sign in. I informed the young lady that greeted me that I had an appointment with Vee,she told me to have a seat. I waited about 15mins and no one approached me, so I asked the same young lady, who's Vee. She pointed her out to me and she was already with someone so I walked over and let her know that I have an appointment with her and asked when would she be done. She responded by telling me that she will get to me when she's finished. OK! I told her that I'm going to get something to eat and will be back in 10mins, she said 15mins I said I don't need that long. I left and when I walked in she had then started doing the same person's pedicure. OK!! At this point Vee had not apologized nor informed me that she was running late and needed more time, absolutely nothing! I ended up walking out and never got service after waiting and 1hr. I was about to walk back in and let her know how unprofessional she was and how disappointed and dissatisfied with the level of her service. She met me and said that she's ready now. I told her I had to go and that I was not able to stay any longer. She did apologize but this is an hour later and it was when she was completely done with the other person's mani/pedi. SMH! I was in town for three days to model for the Bonnor Brothers hair show and was needing my nails done ASAP looked up some places on google came across this nail shop read the reviews and thought I’d try it out ......so very satisfied i came in looking for Melissa but she was very busy with clientele so her dad ended up doing my nails and he is so precise he really takes his time and makes sure every detail is on point from start to finish he’s amazing we did have a problem where my diamonds didn’t want to stay ....easy fix but for the complication he went ahead and discounted my price and gave me the NAIL POLISH i kept telling him how i loved the color and could never find it so he definitely worked with me amazing staff and customer services great experience I’ll definitely come back if I’m ever in town again thank you so much I’m ready to slayyyy my show now...
