I am revising my review from before. Although we were very unhappy with the service and response from the service manager, I do have to say that I am now changing my review to 5 stars. Warren, the shop manager, reached out to us and really did whatever he could to make the situation right. My husband was very skeptic about bringing it back for a 3rd time to try to get things correct, but after he talked to Warren, we will be doing just that. We have not had the repairs looked in to further yet, but the customer service that Warren provided got us back in the door and we are willing to give it another try. He could have just brushed it under the rug and moved on because we are just one customer, but he didn't. To me, that speaks volumes in customer service. Thank you Warren!
If I could choose no stars I would. This was our 2nd time giving Airtec a chance. I didn't even want to go there since our last experience was so horrible, but my husband insisted on giving them another try. The first time we brought our ATV there, it sat for a couple weeks with no contact. At one point, we called to check the status on our machine and they told us that our "seadoo" was almost ready. We brought in an ATV, not a seadoo. Several times we were told it would be looked at the next day and never was. It took regular phone calls to get our ATV back. This last time we brought it in, it took 3 weeks to get it back when we were told a week. My husband physically went over to check on it since we could never get a straight answer on the phone. Aside from the work we brought the ATV in for, we also had an oil change performed - we got it home and there is NO oil registering on the dipstick...NONE!!! You can't even see oil in there. They said they also fixed the back light - STILL NOT WORKING!!! When we called the service manager we were told - "I saw them change the light bulb" Well, did anyone bother to check to see if it worked? Obviously NOT! Then about the oil - we asked if we could just stop and pick up some oil - he told us we would have to bring it back for them to take a look at it. No, thank you! We understand that places get busy and things happen. The level of the service performed, as well as the customer service, were a complete disappointment BOTH times we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally was disappointed that I had to write this review. Was hoping that I could have a longstanding relationship with this place, unfortunately I don't think that is possible.
I bought a brand new Can Am side by side from these guys a few months ago. Called and set up an appointment to get my first oil change done on the unit. Came back to pick it up and they charged me $408.00 for the oil change. 3 quarts of semi-synthetic oil, some o-rings, a filter, a little bit of coolant, and "Look over the machine". Now, I was prepared to have a little upcharge since it was a toy, and these places always charge a little more - but this was egregous. They had a $42 SHOP SUPPLY on there... I mean you charged me for the $2 o-ring, what shop supply are you billing me for.
I went and got my oil changed 3 days before this on my Diesel truck, 13 quarts full synthetic, with front and rear dif fluid checks was $209. So they are charging double for an oil change on a 1000c 2 seat side by side... I don't know if they think their customers are straight up dumb, but it sure looks like it.
I asked the service manager at the desk, "would you pay this bill?". He said - "I don't set the prices, I do my own work cause this is too expensive". 10 out of 10 will no longer ever come back here, just screwing people over...
$409 oil change... literally... an oil change.
In addition to the oil change, also had a bad brake squeak on this brand new machine, which was ultra annoying after spending $20k. Asked them to look at that while it was there. Service called me back and said that brake dust was making it squeek and it needed cleaning - the brakes being dirty made them squeak. I said ahhh-what? I said... so your telling me that when the "All terrain vehicle" gets dirty, it doesn't work right? He said yep that was it and since it was dirt it is not a warranty item... Pushed back on that and they got can am to cover it the warranty for that part.
Got home... Brakes squealed worse than they did before they "fixed them".
Basil was good when I bought it, disappointed there service department and manager are full of absolute clowns. Waste of time...
Off to find a new place to work with now...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy story is from 2 plus years ago but still feel I need to say something as I heard the same situation happen to multiple people. My wife and I walked in planning on buying a can am x3 maverick. As we walked in the place was dead with a couple of employees sitting at the desk. Never got greeted or asked if we needed help. After looking around for a little bit we walked back to the desk asking what all can am sxs they have in stock. The employee just pointed to the back corner of the store saying āwhatever we have back there.ā Not asking if we were interested in buying or had any questions about the machines or what not. We walked back to look at the 2 machines back there for 5-10 minutes still as no body came to check in with us. Not to mind you we were the only 2 people in the store. We walked back to the counter and asked if they could get a X3 in octane blue as thatās the color my wife really wanted. The employee said āwell we have a shipment in 2 weeks coming we might have one on there.ā I said could you take my number and let me know if that one comes in? He said āSureā so I handed him my information and we left. 3 weeks later we still didnāt hear anything so I called up there asking if they have received anything. One of the employees just said no and gave no time frame or tried to help what so ever. 2 days later i called a place River Valley Power and sport in Red Wing asking if they could get a X3 in blue. They told me they could get one by the end of the week if I wanted it. I put a deposit down over the phone and we picked it up a week later with excellent customer service from them and very friendly staff.
Airtec employees literally wanted nothing to do to with us helping to make a sale and wouldnāt give us the time of day. I canāt believe the doors...
