Long review so bare with meā¦
I decided to buy an RV to live in full time. This place had great reviews and I decided to check it out. The buying process was simple and pleasant. They even adjusted my sales price so I could afford a warranty. But the weeks following after were absolutely a nightmare.
I was told Iād get my unit in 2 weeks. It took 7 before I even received it. No one stayed in contact with me. Even after I filed complaints. I always had to call them. The one time I had someone in service call me back he was absolutely rude, condescending and full of excuses. He stated sales doesnāt know how backed up they were and canāt make promises for delivery. I was also told the tow hitch on my unit broke and that was also why it was taking so long for delivery. Once the unit was delivered I look at the hitch andā¦.itās rusted. Which I thought was oddā¦.considering they said they replaced it with a new one. Also upon delivery the gentleman they had bring it wasnāt even informed he was also expected to set up and show me how to connect everything. He informed me he was new and hadnāt been shown how to set up yet but heād try to help me out. He was also given the incorrect address to deliver it to but luckily called me to verify and I gave him the correct address.
Once I started getting situated it came to my attention my AC wasnāt working properly. It took two days and multiple calls to get someone out to service it. This gentleman was also given the incorrect address. He came in and flipped my main AC vent to circulate the air and said if that didnāt work call back and heād come replace the whole front unit the same day. It didnāt help so I called back, the SAME DAY, just a few hours after he had come by, and no one called me back. The same gentleman came back out 2 days later and essentially said he had no idea what was wrong. And per his service manager the WHOLE CAMPER needed to go back to the shop to be able to replace the unit. This absolutely infuriated me but I had no choice. Upon calling for an update I was informed something came loose in transit so they ended up not replacing the unit at all. And they brought it back a day later. Again the delivery guy was given THE WRONG ADDRESS. So after my unit was delivered for the very first time, after 7 weeks of waiting, it took another 5 days before I got to move in.
The GM offered a months payment to compensate me. He was told Iād appreciate two months payment (I made the first payment before the unit was even delivered and the second payment was due a week after I finally moved in) as well as the month of lot rent I lost out on since 2 week delivery turned into 7 (I purchased the unit around June 15th and delivery was supposed to be the first week of July). He got it approved and mailed the check. Two weeks laterā¦.the check was short roughly $300.
While I donāt want to seem ungrateful for what I received, it didnāt even cover the stress and frustrations I had to deal with. This wasnāt a recreational purchase for me. I needed a home. And they were well aware of this. Due to their negligence I was almost homeless.
I am glad to see since my experience other reviewers have had better. And I hope through what happened to me they will continue to do...
Ā Ā Ā Read morelong story. I bought a used trailer Dec 30th, 2022. My first time buy. I knew what I wanted and this was a good price. Addison was my sales rep. I was treated just fine. No extra pressure for extras. I put the trailer hitch on myself. The mechanic even loaned me some tools to do the job. I did it myself or pay $250/hour for them to do it. Addison did come have a quick look and said I did a good job. The walk-through was with the mechanic (I forget his name). He was horrible. I'm pretty sure he was a very unhappy person. Addison promised a new basement door and keys to be sent later. New tires were also put on that I paid for. No receipt from the tire store. I contacted Addison Jan 24th. "Where are the keys and the invoice for the tires for warranty purposes?" Contacted Feb 2nd and told to speak with Pete. I spoke with Pete, the locks had not been ordered. I spoke to Addison on the phone and said I should not have to be chasing this through anyone except you. He didn't like that comment and HUNG UP on me. No swearing, yelling or calling him names. Addison HUNG UP. I just wanted my lock and tire invoice. I contacted "Pete" to get the locks. We texted between Feb 7th and Apr 27. I finally had my locks at the end of April. As far as I can tell, they were readily available on Amazon. I still do not have my tire invoice yet? I did contact Discount Tire (the closet one to their store) and they had no record of new tires for this RV. The manager at Optimum was of no help either. I'll let you decide, but Addison was your typical salesman until he had my money. then I was "persona non grata" to him. It wasn't fair of him to pass the buck to Pete. Even Pete acknowledged that. The manager was worthless. Caveat Emptor. Buyer Beware.
UPDATE - June 12th. I was contacted at the end of April by Tiffany at Optimum to discuss my poor review. We have been going back and forth via text and they have no receipt for the "new" tires they put on for $600 I was charged for. Incredible that Optimum "lost" the receipt and yet cannot advise me what tire store that the "new" tires were put on at. I am amazed that they cannot find a receipt at the Tire Store for this? Makes one think that maybe the tires aren't new or this store is extremely incompetent. I have since found out that this trailer had previously been struck by lightning. Now Optimum either knew that fact or they didn't. Internal documents would help decide that fact. I have requested all documentation from Optimum in regards to this trailer. Stayed tuned.
LAST UPDATE: Optimum finally "found" the tire receipt. Only 6 1/2 months to find it. It was for $541, not $600 as I was told. Whatever... And they weren't installed at Discount Tire, where I was told. How incompetent. Trailers, all trailers, are sold "as-is" in Texas. This trailer was bought at auction by Optimum and they are all sold as-is. Highly unlikely Optimum knew this trailer was struck by lightning. Tiffany was awesome help here. So sad it takes a bad review on Google to get some decent help. Addison is worthless. If you do ever deal with Addison, make sure you get EVERYTHING he promises in writing. I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBEWARE**I I got screwed over on my purchase and auto leveling set up. Just bought a Camper that āhadā Auto leveling system on it. Well I came to pick it up a week later after their PDI to make sure everything was working. I immediately noticed my auto leveling system which was the BAL 7.3 was changed out for a cheap $230 lippard power hitch. I asked why the hitch was gone and after a few people they said at first they had to replace it cause the power board of the BAL 7.3 system wasnāt working. Which is weird cause It worked perfectly fine when I tested the crap out of it the day we bought it! By the way BAL is a high end brand. So they decided to replace it āwink winkā or swap it to another camper without notifying me or even asking me if Iād pay for it to be fixed or what would I the owner like to do!!!! I googled the price to fix the switch panel itās literally $328 bucks. Then they changed gears while speaking to the service manager, she said well also the control box was bad too conveniently! Again it worked fine the day I bought it. That is $1100 which again I would have said letās fix it and pay cash!!! HELL I WOULD HAVE PAID FOR IT ALL!!!! Sadly I also paid a crapload for an extended warranty which might have also fixed that part but no one thought to check or even ask. Pretty sure the warranty covered that kind of issue since itās the you know ā Platinumā warranty!!! But never at any time did anyone call the new owners to ask what I wanted to do. So itās shady at best or letās say sketchy at best. They just did their own thing which kinda seems shady at this point!!!! Iād love to trust them but at no point did anyone and I mean anyone reach out to say hey this is what we found. So be careful and I at this point wished I had went somewhere else. The camper is great but itās missing a KEY FEATURE!!!! if they donāt even think to call me for that what did they find and not even fix that I just got stuck with. Or what else is missing now and they switched out. Cause if I hadnāt have even noticed they wouldnāt have said a single word!!!!
Pretty crazy and Iām wondering if someone else got it!!! Itās an expensive system and again high end so maybe someone else wanted one and they took mine and swapped it for an $300 cheap power hitch. I asked for the original part back and conveniently they threw it away already!!
WORST PART IS THE āSALESā PRICE WAS FACTORED WITH THAT NICE AUTO LEVELING FEATURE CAUSE ITS WELL OVER $5500 to install one.
THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!! I was never even notified they were fixing it if they actually fixed it. I would be very very cautious going here. I thought taking photos helped, turns out they donāt care about any of it. They are like mehhhh whatever itās yours now dude.
Side note: Tricia the sales rep was the ONLY great expierence and helpful!!! But still at this point I canāt recommend them and would maybe have chosen anther dealer no matter how far the drive was to see...
