Danielle's Consignment — Local services in Rochester

I visited about a month ago since the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. However, my experience was so absolutely horrible that I was too repulsed to share until now.

This was my first time in the store. The woman at the front, who I assume is Danielle, was very friendly and greeted me. The store was somewhat organized, a little dingy, but it was nice to see the animals. The prices were very reasonable. She even had $2 racks. As I was perusing, I could hear Danielle on the phone saying horrendous stuff. Lots of foul language and sexual innuendos, and she even started doing what I presume is a caricatured Asian accent. It was so disgusting.

I get it is your business, and you can conduct yourself how you like, but you are a reflection of your store. Very unprofessional. I stormed out of there, and she even tried to explain and justify her behavior as I walked out the door. Not even an apology. I’m so glad I didn’t bring my young children along. I don’t know how people tolerate this. Perhaps they just don’t mind it as long as they’re getting a good deal, which I will admit she has good prices. I had heard great things about Danielle’s Consignment Boutique and was finally able to check it out myself. I was amazed at the variety of clothes in a wide array of sizes. Clothing selections were organized by size and color, and everything I looked at was in great shape. There were many items that still had the original price tags in place. Danielle’s prices beat the competition as did her service. She even had a couple $2 racks. She was working diligently getting new items out, answering the phone, and looking at consigner’s wares as they were brought in. I have been shopping at Danielle's for years. The quality of her merchandise is amazing, i can always find something super unique there also. Merchandise is continually changing so its always a treasure trove. Her store is by far the BEST Consignment shop in Rochester. She goes above and beyond for her customers also, and she is the kindest most generous human being on top of it all! She is constantly giving back to the community and even would take the shoes off her feet for those in need! Literally she took her shoes off and gave them to a woman in need on the streets.
