Dollar General — Local services in Rock Island

Dollar General must be getting desperate for managers. Went there today for the 25 cent sale on Christmas items. The signs on the bins clearly say 25 cents. When they started scanning my items most items rang up too high. Some rang up 30 cents and the manager told me he could not do anything about that. Somehow he was able to lower some of the 30 cent items after I argued the issue but never offered to go back and change the other ones. Everytime something rang up a few dollars, I would tell him and he looked at me so hateful and said just a minute. I will fix it. That took forever. He tried telling me my 4 candles I had in the cart would be regular price and I told him I had already scanned them in my app for 25 cents. When I got in the car and told my husband, he described the manager to me and said he was outside smoking right by the entrance and seem disgruntled that he had to put his cigarettte out to go back in when customers...

Don't use this store. You'll be standing around for 30 minutes waiting for someone to come help you. Then they have some dude who a Manger there always complaining and throwing attitudes to customers. Rude customer service rude employees. There's 2 better dollar generals not far from this one that actually care about their jobs and customers. They should fire everyone in this store and hire a crew that...

They almost usually always have what I need or want at the moment. The staff is friendly and the store is clean and stocked which is a huge plus in my eyes. I stopped by for dog treats and got them half price. They have sales and clearance items at prices that beat out Walmart or any other retail store. They also get new merchandise and some are name brand for less than other retailers. Love the Dollar...
