Alger County Fairgrounds — Local services in Rock River Township

I enjoyed the horses and the Firemans barrel contest but you couldnt hear who the teams were or even who won! I think rock did but it might have been Skandia and as far as the forth team I have no idea who that was. There was only one booth with items for sale but for kids they had excellent array of bounce houses! And I seen one booth for some sort of kids games. And there was more food trucks than anything else and of course they are expensive. I give high praise though for the entry fee! It was actually affordable. I was left wondering if it is a dying event at this location....

I loved the Alger County Fair. It's just the thing for a small-town atmosphere but with plenty to see and do. I think I only spent $3. I had an enjoyable experience. (Cost of admittance is $2) There was a huge book sale. Free will donations. I got icecream and came away from viewing the horse show with plenty of fun.
