Dollar General — Local services in Rock Valley

Can't walk down half of the aisles and the other half you have to move boxes etc to get threw or find something. No help from employees. After waiting 5 plus mins for a checker and no one coming I about left but called the store. After 3 or 4 mins on phone ringing a very rude lady come to up dragging her feet. Earlier went for a propane tank exchange. The checker told me to wait one moment while she checks out the people behind me. Which was fine with me but after waiting for 20 mins and seeing new customers come and leave i went back in very displeased. I asked for a refund and said im going to co-op. She said ok just a moment while ill check these people out. Those people actually said no and said to the cashier looks like this man was here first just help him with his propane. This Dollar General location has plummeted downhill in the past few years. Aside from poorly stocked shelves, you'll have to weave your way through the maze of boxes and merchandise scattered all over the floors and blocked aisles. Many of their items are over-priced given their cheap and poor quality; half the time the price or discount advertised on the shelf is not what rings up at the register and staff won't honor it. Finding a cashier or employee to help you is a rare exception. As many others have commented, they are often so short-staffed that the store will be randomly closed during days/times they are supposed to be open. I recently visited family in Rock Valley and needed to pick up some things for our dinner. I am appalled on how filthy and disgusting this store is. I could not get up or down ANY isle myself much less if I would have taken a cart and actually was able to do some shopping. We are from northeast Nebraska, and our Dollar General is nothing like this. I truely think the state needs to be called on this business, and am positive a state fire marshall would have it closed down in no time. A strong suggestion that something be done about this.
