Every time I pass this place it is a journey back to my childhood. I have traveled to and from Wilmington from Charlotte for years and this is one of the places I always remembered. Every chance we get we stop to get ice cream and sometimes peaches. I'm not a huge peach lover but I do love me a good cobbler from time to time. The peaches are good and already bagged for a quick grab and go. However, the ice cream is why I really like this place.

They have the classic flavors of ice cream but the two I would recommend are either peach or apple pie. Both have big chunks of peach, or apple pie, in the ice cream and are the taste of perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

This is traditionally a "required stop" for me, on the way to the beach. It doesn't look like much from the highway, but has great flavors of ice cream, and pristine bathrooms, which is hard to find these days. Their specialty is peaches, and have beautiful first quality peaches. My problem is that those peaches take several days to ripen, and I'm usually wanting them sooner. My solution has been to buy "seconds", which in past years has been an excellent bargain. A half bushel for $15 (currently), got me about 80 mostly ripe peaches, and after throwing out a dozen or so, and cutting out bad spots on another dozen, I got the equivalent of 50+ ripe peaches for $15. We stopped to get some strawberries here in the past and they were easily the best I'd ever had. My dad said the same thing about their butter pecan ice cream, so I decided to try some. I went with 2 scoops of their Banana Berry ice cream in a waffle cone and think it may have just displaced mint chocolate chip to become my new favorite flavor. The only ice cream I've had that even comes close is Jeni's ice cream in Charlotte.

Incredible. I will absolutely be coming back for more the next time I'm in the area.
