I met the nephew at Rockport marine. I am in the marine industry but also fish offshore. I bought a boat with a custom cover that had been torn in a windstorm. I also had a piece of isinglass that needed a snap. Went out to their place that day to get a snap in the isinglass. Met the owner. Mentioned the torn cover and he said he could fix it, had over forty years in the business. Said he didn't need the boat, which in retrospect, should have been a red flag. But, I am not a master upholster, so I thought he could probably measure the snap distance and figure out what I needed. Put half down, paid the rest at pickup. Well, when i got it back to the boat, it was missing a pull, and the cover wouldn't reach the snaps in the boat in multiple areas. So now i have a cover i paid to make work that still doesn't fit. When i talked to the owner he said it didn't pay to have it fit! Why would i pay for anything less! I had high hopes. Many of my customers need upholstery work. But this isn't someone i can send them to. So i am still on the hunt for someone who does quality work with no excuses in the Corpus Christi area if...

I dealt with this guy for almost 8 months. Quoted me 4 to 6 weeks for my furniture to be done . Came up with excuse after excuse not to be done. Every time I callled a excuse asked me if I changed my number simply to ti block my number so he wouldn’t answer. Then when I would show up to his shop , he would make a excuse , use his wife’s cancer , the weather etc. save your yourself the headache… this guy has done this to many people. He has even had people go to small claims court only to never show up and never pay a dime . Many people have won in small court. They will only see financial compensation if he decides to sell his property. That’s if he decides to sell his property Save yourself...

We asked him to fix our canvas on our boat paid money and 2.5 years later we had to go find him to see what he had completed. It was excuse after excuse..always very creative but month after month excuses. Frustrating at best!!! Finally asked what he had completed he had only the isenglass enclosure.
