Dollar General — Local services in Rocky Mount

Place is always a mess. The people that work there are so unfriendly. If there was another place on my way home to stop at, I would go there. When I am not in a hurry, I do go into town or down to the other one on 220. Also, you will always wait at the checkout. They are never around. The manager will be outside and will not come in from her cigarette to check you out. You will have to hunt down the employee that is putting up the stock, which is everywhere, to cash you out. The store is out of what I am looking for a lot of the time. When I asked an employee: they said it is probably not put up yet. I said you have been out for a while. They said that sounds right. Lastly, the milk refrigerator smells so bad. Milk spilled in it when it first opened. They put paper towels in it and that was it. Never cleaned it. I never buy milk from there now. I love going to Dollar General, but it's very obvious that the company doesn't care about their employees one bit. They totally overload them with job duties making it impossible for them to get anything done. No matter which store you go to, you'll find stock everywhere blocking aisles, etc. None of them have an adequate number of employees working. I feel sorry for all of them.
