Planned to host my son birthday party. Scheduled online in advance for 2 months. Called every so often cause I was told pool was close for repair. The fine. Pool opened up for members only for a week or 2 before my son’s birthday party on July 12th. Got called on Tuesday to tell me I’m approved for the room rental on that day at 1:30-3:30. Was pleased to hear they could pull the money on next day cause that’s when I was paid. I even called back shortly after to confirm the time.
Everything went well on day of party til around time for cake when a worker came in asking if I was getting ready to end the party around 2:40. I told worker that I was told I had the room from 1:30 to 3:30. Worker went back to the manager I assume. Cause the manager came back to the room and announced to me and the room that “your contract says 1:00 to 3:00.” Instead of pulling just me aside and talking about it privately. Embarrassing to say the least. Anyway I went to counter to ask to see the contract and told them that they need to send a email cause I called twice to confirm the time. They just told me “idk who would tell you that”. I suspect they double booked the room and changed the time on the “contract” to save face.
In conclusion. Be aware when you spend money here for a party room and make sure you get a confirmation email. Cause these folks don’t know how to organize themselves.
Since they wanted to publicly embarrass me in front of my guest and family about the rental time. They get this embarrassing review of their unprofessionalism and incompetence. Won’t be spending any more of my hard earned money...

I paid in full for my 2 year olds birthday only for them to call me 2 hours before the party to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. Now I may have not been as upset as I was when they called if 1. The employee who reached out didn’t LAUGHED and thought it was funny to cance the party and 2. Be told multiple different reasons it was cancelled as one of the reason was that they came in to the “issue” when they came in that morning(8am I asked) but didn’t contact me to cancel until 3-4 hours later? How is that good business? So after being laughed at and lied to I told them I wanted to speak to whose ever was In charge they continued the to tell me the person in charge was driving and would contact me in a couple days. It has now been 1 month and I have YET to be contacted . I had 4 Trays of party subs, a cake, sides and drinks that were all premade and paid for wasted due to their incompetence. I had family in from out of state and others who traveled more than a couple hours to be here and I had to cancel with a 2 hour notice, 2 weeks before Christmas? Read moreToday I witnessed staff be rude to children and the DMC Physical Therapy Patients. I saw a lady let 3 young teens pay to enter with cash and didn’t give a receipt. Then to tell them their parents didn’t sign a waiver. When the children asked how’d they pay, they all said cash which I witnessed. Then the lady proceeds to say well we don’t have a record or anything to prove it. Then a Physical Therapy patient whom I overheard tell them she has a driver and someone who’s with her all the time and she’s been coming here for thereapy over the past 3 year, told her well anytime anyone passes this desk it’s $15. She asked for a manager and the guy pointed to another guy. So she said who is everyone’s boss? I need to speak to the one over everyone here and all the staff just turned their backs like this lady wasn’t even there. I mean seriously. All were rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I hope DMC pull their contract out of this building because I’ve heard and witness the same action already 2 times this week.
